Pretty hilarious seeing certain folks get their panties in a bunch over the 1619 project winning a Pulitzer
Probably because they realize my posts highlighting our president elect's ZADDY appeal deserved the award.
They're working their way there. First got to dispel the nasty and completely baseless rumor that the Civil War was about slavery and not state's rights.I’m surprised there aren’t more conservatives who advance the theory that the trans Atlantic slave trade never happened and that black people all came here as immigrants.
Slavery was and is a mindset. Therefore, da indentured servant trade had da cotton coffers booming B
PLUS the slaves had it waaaay better here (as slaves) compared to black people in the rest of da world. One might even call it a "cakewalk".
This man is a hero
The 1619 Project essay is a powerful piece, but many historians have pointed out some serious problems with its accounting of history, including the essay’s central claim that “one of the primary reasons the colonists decided to declare their independence from Britain was because they wanted to protect the institution of slavery.”
The reactionary criticisms of conservatives can and should be challenged and exposed for what they are. But there are serious issues that have been raised by others that should be taken seriously.

My favorite comeback to this deflection is "a state's right to do what?".They're working their way there. First got to dispel the nasty and completely baseless rumor that the Civil War was about slavery and not state's rights.
