arsene has always had complete support from the board and the accompanying big budget to spent on transfers, he just chooses not to splash. his style has never been to buy a blockbuster player at his peak, just get those diamonds in the rough. i like his method, because i feel like bringing up a player from their youth adds to chemistry and commitment.

not to mention that half of chelsea's team will be at the African cup of nations in in late Jan/ feb so even if they were near top of the table then, that would be a good time for teams to take advantage and play catch up. wonder how many arsenal players will be there...

Damn, I didnt even think about the ACN in January.

Arsenal will lose Adebeyor, Toure, Eboue. I think the biggest loss will be Toure, he's the one holding Arsenal's D together.

Chelsea will lose Drogba and Kalou, obviously without Drogba, that team cant score goals.
