It's 49ers before any individual player. I just try to support the players through good and bad..

yeah i caught that abc interview and he was a bit demanding. i understand hes tired of questions about the yahoo sources and such but c'mon man. anyways when he did get asked about the saints, he then said we will stop brees and alex will have a great game.

now i understand faith on the team but if the saints saw that it'd me more motivation for them

Hitch and go, that's really all I have to say about the secondary because if they don't correct their undisciplined selves this could get ugly fast.

I hate the fact that Alex Smith is about to single handedly going to embarass us on national TV.

Sure it goes further than just the QB when things are going wrong, but when our D is working their +!!%% off and then Alex Smith consistantly is going 3 and out, over and over again it becomes tiring and a bit disheartening. Also lets not forget that Frankie didnt have a typical game of his (btw did Anthony Dixon get any snaps?)

I hate hearing some of you say "Oh youre giving up on Alex this quickly?" or "youre not a supportive fan".. Ive heard those SAME damn things the past 3 seasons on here. Enough of that, Alex Smith is in his 5th year and has been nothing short of the likes of Ryan Leaf. Hell I'd rather have Ryan Leaf as my starting QB than Alex Smith.

Let Nate Davis who only knows about 4 plays get some burn, he couldnt do much worse than putting up 6 points I'll tell you that much.

Smith needs some snaps, and I'm not talkin about Alex.

... Nah but really, I WISHHHHHHHH we would have sent our 2nd or 3rd rounder for Roethlisberger when thats what the asking price was. We'd be a legitimate SB contender with him controlling the offense, and P-Willie with the D... Sigh................

I usually would never be so negative with my team, but damn I just want to be good for once. We have a great cast of players, offensive and defensive, but with the QB that we have now and what he has shown in his career, the Wild Card is all we can hope for.

Seeing Hasslebeck rip us a new one makes my stomach turn when I think of what Brees could do to us.. on national TV.. on Monday Night Football...on Jerry Rice's night..

^probably would have been modeled after a Cutler type deal, but cheaper since Ben had off-the-field issues.

I think people are forgetting how much we dominated Seattle offensively and defensively until that "defensive holding" call on Clements... things just spiraled out of control after that.
If that is truly who the 2010 49ers are then we have a very good chance at beating the Saints.  Not to mention we play MUCH better at home and I think that everyone on the team will be playing with a chip on their shoulder.  Also we are 22-10 all time on MNF

Anthony Dixon and Brian Westbrook got no burn last week. Alex Smith or any of the 49ers QB this season will be forced to make deep throws to beat defenses since the opponent's defense will stack eight in the box to stop the run along with the opponent's defense allowing dink and dunk passes. If any of the 49ers QB's can't make deep throws, then it will always be the 49ers RB's (Gore, Dixon, or Westbrook) and Offensive Line facing a stacked 8 man front.

We need to put Westbrook as a receiver in our spread offense IMO.. dude was a pretty good receiver for the Eagles wasnt he?

I guess being up 6-0 on a squad is dominating them.

The offense moved the ball, but couldn't get in the endzone - so by no means does that make them dominating.

Ryan Leaf over Smith?
laugh.gif
Come on now, Smith sucks, but he's been better than other number one pick busts like Leaf and JaMarcus Russell. It's not saying much, of course
