early preview of what the base defense could look like. earl mitchell will likely get the nod over dj jones, but i think dj jones may be better player at the nose spot. AA is a sub player only, IMO, which is okay since we'll be in sub about 70% of snaps.
the pass-rushing sub package combos are crazy. so many different variations.
side note: the front 7 functions very similar to fangio's defense; it's in the secondary where things diverge.

bret treadway is an interesting player. he was of the most athletic and technically sound zone-scheme centers in the draft, but he's severely undersized and has battled a ton of injuries. if he can get bigger and stronger, he's capable of being a starter in this league. he is a player to keep an eye on.

i don't think the edge is the best spot for defo or AA, but i expect to see both of them get a chance to work from there.
solly can get after the QB from anywhere, so he's also going to rush from multiple spots. he's our michael bennett/frank clark.
