We've gone to at least 4 NFC championship games and have reached 2 Super Bowls the last 5 years and people are calling for his head.

This season isn't over. We were 3-5 in 2021 and made it to the NFCCG.
Big Fax. we haven’t had one in 30 years and Kyle has joined a select few to take us back to the dance.

If we were to look back im sure we’d all be wishing Harbaugh never left. We kept screaming at Jed for messing that up. And now we want to fire a HC that’s brought us back since Harbaugh.

Kyle has revolutionized how teams run their offense. Look at his coaching tree. It’s insane how many came from his tree. Kyles got a lot of respect within the nfl circle. Yall acting like we got a Mike Nolan or Dennis Erickson

I would say it’s a different situation now than what it was 10 years ago. They screwed the Harbaugh situation up and 2015-16 humbled Jed to where he’s been relatively hands off.

The 49ers in 2014 were on the decline with a roster that was about to be purged apart and also had dysfunction from the top down. They’re in a much better situation now organization wise.

It’s rare a head coach gets 8 seasons with 1 team in the NFL. Even with championships on their resume. Hell they mutually agreed to part ways with Seifert just 2 years removed from his second Super Bowl. He lasted 8 seasons before it was a wrap.

You don’t fire a Kyle Shanahan just for the sake of firing them. This wouldn’t even be a conversation anyway until probably next season at the earliest if they continued to regress beyond injuries being the cause for struggles. But if you feel like as an organization this guy can only get you so far but can’t get you to the finish line. There’s nothing wrong with finding someone who can. Unlike in 2015-16. This would be a much more attractive coaching situation. You don’t make a move like that to hire the flavor of the month college guy or some recycled coach who failed elsewhere. You do it if there’s a legit upgrade option available who can elevate the team.

What I am curious to is how receptive Kyle Shanahan would be if John Lynch wanted to reel things in a bit. Let Kyle know he needs to hire an offensive coordinator and that the in game adjustments when the gameplan isn’t going as expected need to be fixed. For as good as Kyle Shanahan is as a coach (and don’t get it twisted, someone would hire him so fast if he ever got canned). He does have some visible flaws which have showcased themselves at the worst possible time. I would much rather him fix those issues here as opposed to getting canned at some point and making those adjustments elsewhere with a different team.

Truuuuu. These are fixable issues that Kyle has. Much like Andy Reid. He made adjustments and ofc getting the best qb helps but the chiefs are contending consistently.

Name me a HC yall would be ok to replace Kyle. My personal opinion would be Jim Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin and maybe Bill.

Ben Johnson from the Lions.

But that’s not to say I’d choose him over Shanahan. This would only be if Shanahan was fired first, which I’d think is the wrong move.

Curious what the Niners will do at the deadline...Not getting my hopes up.

We ain’t doing squat

We had our chance to trade Aiyuk for Cooper and York didn’t have the balls and succumbed to BA the diva.

Plain sad. And here we are where we are.

They’re in such a weird situation in that outside of Detroit, there’s no team in the NFC right now I would currently consider a powerhouse. Green Bay is a very good team and the Vikings look good too. But they all play in the NFC north which means only one of them gets home playoff games.

There’s no team in the NFC south or east that strikes fear in anyone. Same with the competition in the NFC west.

Which gives them more time to right the ship. Beating Dallas Sunday would get them to .500 at the bye despite being ravaged by injuries. That’s also 1 game off the pace they were on last season.

That’s all good and all but the 49ers shouldn’t be concerned about the other teams. And as fans, neither should we. This 49ers defense ain’t the same as last year’s and it surely ain’t the same as the 2021 team that started 3-5 and ended up going to the NFCCG.

The 49ers have a lot more things to worry about internally and should only be concerned about themselves not how potentially scary other teams are because at the end of the day, the 49ers will still play DET, GB, TB, CHI, BUF, SEA….teams that are all in the playoff hunt, all with winning records, and if they bat less than .500 against the aforementioned teams, then we will know the real deal Holyfield.

And right now, the 49ers aren’t better than any of those teams based on how they’ve played all year.

Saleh to GB?

Yeah nobody of note no longer wants to coach for Shanascam the control freak and micro manager.

Packers’ defense is much better than the 49ers defense this year too so I wouldn’t t blame Saleh for going to GB if he does end up going there.

I hate to say it but it really looks the 49ers have a major uphill battle to get back to Super Bowl contention.
