OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET & ECONOMY THREAD VOL. SCHOOL'S OUT

Unless you're huge, JPM/GS and even MS aren't going to take you on because you won't make them any money.

Intro brokers with a mixed-used platform would be what you could possibly get into.

Not directed at Gold St., since you're set up as a Fund...depending on your AUM however.

Can someone explain what a corporate action is? I know the sprint SoftBank deal went through, but my online broker sold my S stock automatically and I'm kinda confused

How much capital are you talking?

You're probably in between and would probably have to set yourself up in a vehicle to be seriously considered from some intro/mini-primes.

For example, Wells Fargo acquired Merlin who was large on the west, Cantor Fitzgerald and BNY Mellon are in the smaller arenas.

400

Can you gift me one of those?

A corporate action just notifies you something you own is having an important action occur that affects your ownership. In your case a stock buy out. Which means all S stock get purchased from all it's share holders at a predetermined price.

Your broker did not sell the stock, the stock was delisted due to the buy out.

Repped, thanks for the info...as you can tell I'm still pretty new to all this

Your welcome.

I don't know any mini primes mainly because I have always dealt with bigger primes because in my line of work a known prime is very important. LazyJ may know.

My man came through like he just saw a bat signal.

:wow: that balance.

What are some good brokers with mixed-used platforms?

Thanks

Yeah interactive is kind to allow that threshold. Where I trade u need 5MM for portfolio margin. Gotta be careful with it, **** can get tricky fast.

nice Gold St :pimp:

I use a portfolio margin account thru Interactive Brokers, no where near Gold St., but it requires a minimum >$100,000 to fund

When I was looking at it, I think I read 10k. Must be a different type of account.
yeah freaky, the minimum is 10K for regular margin account similar to what you get from all the cookie cutter firms, portfolio margin is different and geared to experienced/professional traders

I am not using algos like the hft

decent platform works great for me I am up >25% on my trades this year so far, I like it very much but actually haven't been as active this year, I've actually been holding for longer periods time vs the active day trading I have done in the couple years past, for several reasons, but its working so why change it now, right...

Portfolio just gives you 6 to 1 leverage. No extra data features
I guess I'm not getting it unless I join the illuminati.
yeah and the leverage also as Gold St stated

but I feel what you saying, trust I felt the same way many years ago but just keept pushing and I am doing pretty decent, so you just have to keep at

but you seem like a pretty smart dude from what I gather of your posts, so just keep working hard and educating yourself and you'll get there

damn 26 new posts lol. lets keep it thread going

I get live feed level ii and time/sale from DAStrader. You can legit read the tape. Im telling you, Try SureTrader. Throw $500 in an account and get the Pro platform with level ii. Test it for 30/60 days and wire out a few times. 6:1 intraday margin so you can def make a few bucks
