OFFICIAL STOCK MARKET & ECONOMY THREAD VOL. SCHOOL'S OUT

Looking forward to the earnings for AMD. Hopefully goes over $5.

Check out GLUU, it still has room to run

Saw some tweets about FSI water treatment play low float. Not particular familiar with it. I gotta brush up some water companies it's definitely a sector w potential.

KNDI GLUU think both go lower tmrw

couldn't have been more wrong.. did nail some decent short trades on these in the morning tho

Liking DARA CBLI for swing trades. The current pps offers low risk entry spots compared to potential profits

Makes sense now why they were running up SNDK into earnings :{

is it rude to ask how much you guys earn from this? just a ballpark 8o

i think i'll do well because i love researching to the max before doing anything but i've been too scared to invest my money #scaredmoneydontmakemoney :{

^ Probably better to speak in terms of percentages, but people easily made +30-40% of their portfolio in 2013. It all varies obviously and 2013 was a good year for pretty much everybody.

I'm going to get into investing. It's just so much information that I haven't been privy to. Seems a bit overwhelming. You can literally say I was born yesterday in regards to my knowledge about investing.

take your time learning and paper trade in the interim.

NOK has had some unusual call activity lately. might be a mover after earnings on the morning of the 24th. Currently bag holding a few there so we'll see how this goes. Haven't traded much lately but the fun looks to be tarting again in regards to volatility.

google thinkorswim paper trading account download that don't fund it and pretend like it's real money. basically you trade virtually live data but not dough. just learning.

Thanks JRS. I've already viewed it, and will download in about an hour or two. Even that app seems so overwhelming. And the warning about "don't fund it"......is there a way I can actually lose real money through this little app?

if ur paper trading no n if u don't fund it u can't accidentally trade real cash. study the charts every night and you'll learn the patterns. set risk is your best friend.

AMD been the same story past few ER it seems. they ramp it up into the report then sell the news.

Worth watching and learning from^

Always use a stop when trading. Risk management is the game.

^Yep, crying right now haha just kidding. I am disappointed though. I should have taken my profits. I bought at 3.74

Some decent size coming in at 3.70 after hours, might be a little oversold but knowing this it could just base out and fade. be weary of failed follow through momentum tomorrow if there's lower highs or look out for a bounce if it washes out of the gate and has higher lows/holds 3.50.

I plan to hold for a little while. I think it will go lower tomorrow because of Russia and of course missed earnings

Some nice ideas in here guys.  I haven't disappeared I have just been sitting pat in Sprint and Wendy's.

Took my swings off today IVR SQNM been good to me but didn't sell into strength. Instead sold on weakness with a stop. Lesson learned sell into strength and major resistance. I guess I got a little greedy. Still made solid profits but left a ton on the table.

Started small swing in CBLI today. Risk on .45 support

Also GLUU is holding up well so may jump in that on pulls 6.30s or lower with risk on 6.15

FNMA volume coming back in!! Got a very small starter position today

UVXY if markets are weak again that 30 chart break is pretty big

There's been some out of the money call activity in SRPT past couple of days. I took 2 Jan 17 $40 calls, stop is to expiration since risk is

Trying to keep up and soak everything in. Still sounds like yall are speaking Chinese lol.
