During a recent earnings report presentation, DivX CEO Kevin Hell might have revealed a bit too much regarding DivX support on the Xbox 360.

JP Morgan analyst Paul Coster asked Hell about DivX support that was added to Microsoft's Media Extender and if that foreshadowed a release to the Xbox 360. Hell's response was an enthusiastic "Yes!" followed by a semi-awkward, backpedaling clarification that went something like ... "that, uh, we're in discussions with Microsoft on that at this point in time, so I can't go into any great detail on that. Um that is not a certified, that is not a certified or licensed product at this time."

His response may not sound like confirmation of DivX headed to the 360, but simply reading the quote doesn't paint the whole picture. According to those who attended the conference, it was how he answered the question thta was most revealing. Hell was very enthusiastic at first when he answered "Yes!" and then he quickly tried to backpedal and change the subject. Was it a slip of the tongue or a simple misunderstanding? No one is certain, but we wouldn't be surprised to see DivX support added to the 360 this December.

and this is one reason why cod 4 is a bunch of bull @+%!. the rankings in this game are by far the most meaningless of all fps multiplayer games...

I beg to differ, although it people may be able to move up quicker due to playing more, I think the concept of having to WIN a match (Halo 3)rather than just gaining rank based on the stats you achieve within the match is a bit of a PITA. I can definitely sympathize with gaming purists who don'twant people to just achieve rank without actually having the level of skill to back it, but I think it gives the more casual gamer (who seems to be themajority in my eyes) something that they can strive for an achieve at the same time, thus making the game itself that much more enjoyable.

BTW, I'll be sending alot of you guys friend requests so I can start playing with some people on consistent basis, that is if they want a mere GunnerySergeant to play with them, lol.

I agree, but the best thing out of the whole idea is that HD DVD will be packed in. Giving it a chance against Blu. Just get the 360 now and enjoy thegames that are here.

I think alot of people disliked cod 3 because you couldnt get away with crap. you had to be skilled. people cried about how the vehicles were too powerful but thats because they dont know how to easily dispose of them..

I didn't like COD3 because it was unbalanced, and honestly you can't just say COD4 is weak because of small flaws. I mean there is a update on the way, that will fix a couple of problems. And yeah they did change alot from the beta, believe me they did. You cant serious expect perfection when the game has only been out about a month and a half now.

I have not seen the GTA trailer yet, but as for SF4 I am happy with the way it looks I don't want another fancy looking 2d fighter there are moooorrreee than enough. As long as the fight system is balanced it will become a staple in the competitive gaming scene. I think SF looks good and you really can't tell how the game is going to look from that screen, that looks more like a intro screen.

to me, super street fighter looks way better than sfiv

as for cod 4 and its flaws, and a patch, when is that coming? seems like they shipped a flawed product just to meet holiday sales... their laziness to spawnpeople in front of combat is ******ed... i rather start from accross the level than get shot in the head 2 seconds after i spawn..
