#%%$ i jsut bought a wireless adapter for 100, ah well.

Back onto the the HDMI thing to anyone who has knowledge of it.
I've been reading up on the Monster Cable site, and there is a little article thingy talking about diffrences in HDMI cables.
http://monstercable.com/HDMI/the_facts_on_hdmi.asp

Some interesting points are:
There's a popular misconception that all HDMI cables are the same. The only true difference between them is price, many say. This is inaccurate. The fact is not all HDMI cables are created equal. Just as not all levels of high definition are the same, not all HDMI cables are the same.
Take 1080p video with advanced 12-bit color. To experience this level of high definition video and color depth, your HDMI cable must support a minimum data rate of 6.68 Gbps. That's an astounding six billion bits per second
If packaging also doesn't feature a Simplay HD verified logo or a certified speed, there's some doubt it can even achieve a speed of 4.46 Gbps, required for verifiable 1080p performance. Just because a cable package has an HDMI logo on it doesn't mean it will meet HDMI performance requirements.
Looking at the ones on monoprice it doesnt speek of the bit per second (Gbps) or anything like that.

Just wondering i probally will get the monoprice one, but is there really a reason behind why the others are so exspensive.
The monster cables talk about how its Highspeed and HDTV's need that.

Do the monoprices have that?

If anyone can drop some knowledge id appreciate it.

Hey what does a wireless adapter do?

O yea u knows ive been playin gears on composite all this time. My Xbox only came wit composite.
Is there like really really cheap HDMI or Component cables on teh webs? Also where is my HDMI outlet on my Xbox because I don'ts see it (maybe cuz I gotsthe 20 gigs?)

EDIT: Okay I remember nnarm posted some cheap HDMI cables on page 35. but herees the thing... where the funnk is my HDMI outlet lol.. i see it on my tv butnone of my xbox

There are no differences in HDMI cables besides the exterior. HDMI is a digital connection. It will either work, or it won't. Don't be a sucker withMonsters claims. Of course they will claim theirs is better, it costs more. They want you to buy theirs. I've bought all 3 of my HDMI cables fromMonoprice. I've even ordered their Wii component cables too... Just saying.

Just BOB, you might have an older Xbox then. They only started putting HDMI in Premiums about Sept 2007.

^ yea thats what i figured, i bought the 10 foot cable on monoprice for like 30 including shipping.
It costs more because the conductor plating was silver and not tin. I read the silver is a better conductor of electricity which gives you better signalintegrity which is better picture.
I hope i didnt sucker into that one but if i did o well

yoooooo ....

i have a 27" hd ... i assume its only 720p .. i have no HD knowledge ...

i just want to know will it look that much better if i get HDMI cables ?

i think the componet HD cables they give you gets 720p (blue, green, red)

and HDMI is for 1080i or p

ig you can get it for better sound if that works.

I'm curious about HDMI too, I've been reading up on it but still don't know if it's worth it. Also I have an older xbox, so I would need aconverter?

okay ...

so i hooked up the red green blue ones ....

no picture now ...

do i hook up the other red, whte and yellow too so all 6 are hooked up ?

^ the white/red are for audio so that means the r/b/g aren't correct. My one hdtv has two different areas with those inputs so if you have another sectionwith them try those.

i dont know what the f i'm doing

i went to setting ... switched to 720p ... and it goes back ... aren't i supposed to flick the switch on the back too

How much would i get for a 1 year + 1 month xbox live?

Turn off ur 360, Plug ur cords in, Flick switch to HD, turn on 360 go to console settings, Pick whichever your TV is (420,720p,1080i,1080p)

i flicked it to hd

have the green red blue plugged it

and the white and red for audio

now it's a black screen ... it's not showing on either of my component inputs ...

prolly gon say f the HD .. and just play

Then turn on ur 360 go to HDTV settings flick it to HD and pick whatever selection works 720 or 1080.
If that dont work i dont know what to tell you.
I havent done it in a while but i use to do it everyday

I would just use the ones that came with the system, if you have component on there. It should have the Red/Green/Blue and Red/White for HD... Hope thishelps... Otherwise I would buy a used set from Amazon... They're about $5+...
