arm sleeves on arm sleeves on arm sleeves
A lot of players dream to be with the Lakers and some dream to beat the Lakers. I feel LBJ is one of those who wants to beat the Lakers. Simple as that...
We already whiffed on Dwight..
Lebron's not coming...
Melo isn't coming...
Unless.. Phil Jackson comes back into the franchise.
Lebron already has Pat Riley, so he's gonna need some one with more pull than Pat Riley talking to him, about the Lakers. (i hope that makes sense)
Melo won't come because he hates dantoni, He'll play for Phil, hell he'll probably play for Rambis, with Phil playing the Tex winter role, but He damn sure won't play for Dantoni..
But let me give you paint you a picture of 2014 free agency:
Lebron is staying in south beach, and Melo is staying in New York.
Jim Buss isn't letting Phil back in the franchise, and I guarantee it'll be the death of the franchise.
We'll strike out on both those guys.
Now maybe 2015, 2016 we get k love, or durant, or westbrook, but I don't see this franchise getting back to the top for awhile.
You get Phil back in the franchise, you get someone with some credibility and can sell the Lakers to a new age superstar.
I think the Lakers would fire MDA if it meant getting one of those two players. Hell, I think the Lakers would need a decent roster before anyone goes to play for them.
You also have to consider Kobe. I honestly think he'll be the one to deter any superstar from coming to the team. He just wont give up that role as the go-to player at the end of games. Players won't feel comfortable being around someone like that.
If anyone is going to hold the team back, it's Kobe. I know this sounds crazy to some of you guys, because you're thinking "Who wouldn't want to play with an all-time great?" But dude's pride wouldn't allow him to let someone else run the show. He's going to want to take that last shot and he's going to want to be the big dog. This will be how Kobe is till the day he retires.
Something just seem weird. I don't know. Lebron and Melo doesn't look right in Lakers uniform.
uh maybe because they have never actually worn a laker jersey before? duh
Wrong Knicks fan. If you give him the right player. It will work.
Remember dude won 5 while being so called a selfish player.
You act like Kobe is some sort of dictator who will not pass the ball at any cost.
Here's what I see. Lakers keeping MDA is smokescreen. The Lakers already KNOW they're not going to do well this season.
Once the end of season comes around, "Breaking News: Lakers fire Mike D'Antoni"
Then a week later
"Breaking News: Lakers hire Phil Jackson as new Lakers coach"
There's a reason why Rambis is on board with MDA. He knows something. He speaks with Phil and I'm sure Phil is on the loop of what's going on with the team right now.
Phil recently in a article said Melo should read a book that he made Jordan read to help him be a better teammate. Ironic he's trying to reach out to Melo before next season, huh?
You honestly think Lebron will come to LA with Kobe having the pride that he does? Kobe is part of the old-school, bro.
Melo is a volume scorer and stops the ball on offense. You think Kobe is going to stand on the wing, waiting for the ball to come to him? Look at what happened when Melo didn't touch the ball a few seasons ago. Dude had one of the worst statistical seasons of his career.
There's only 1 ball on the court and it's not enough for Kobe and Melo to exist. Kobe and Lebron would work, because Lebron is unselfish, but Melo is another story. Melo and Kobe's games just don't mesh together.
But hey, Melo could bolt and leave NY. I don't think he'll leave, but it's a possibility.
Who care if I'm a Knicks fan? What did I say that was so biased? I speak the truth.
