MDA finding a way to get fired.

I'm not mad, keep doing your thing Mike.

Soon enough he'll want JChill to be a corner 3 specialist.

Hill working on new role
August, 13, 2013

By Nick Borges | ESPN.com

Jordan Hill, who missed most of 2012-13 due to a hip injury, spoke with Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni and the forward asked him what he needed to improve to get more minutes for the upcoming season.

"My jump shot -- he definitely wanted me to work on my outside jumper,” Hill told Dave McMenamin of ESPNLosAngeles.com. “We got Pau Gasol that can focus on the paint and we got Chris Kaman that can focus on the block. So I just want to be a stretch 4. Just try to spread the floor a little bit, just show a little range. I’ve been working on it the whole summer, trying to focus on that, on my 3-ball."

Hill has not been a good shooter from long range and last season he made 30.8 percent from 15-19 feet. Hill lives in Atlanta during the offseason and he's been working out with teammate Jodie Meeks, who is a good shooter.

Hill will come to training camp completely healthy, which is a good start for him and he should get plenty of time whether he can hit shots or not because he is the best forward off the bench currently on the roster.

Don't know how I feel about him shooting 3's, dude literally made his living by grabbing offensive rebounds/put backs. We're already pretty soft down low, why take away one of the only physical players on the squad from the basket?

I'm all for Hill working on his jumper, but not to become a damn stretch 4

Kobe in Manila on his yearly NIKE promo Asia tour:

Fact is that Kobe for years has been more popular and better received in China, Philippines and other Asian countries compared to Lebron.

I've read a couple articles where Chinese people, Filipino people said Lebron was a jerk and basically was there just to show his face.

According to Sports Interactive Network Philippines, James isn’t outgoing and refuses to take pictures or sign autographs with the fans:

“He’s a snob. When you go near him, even if you haven’t said anything, he’s quick to tell you, ‘No pictures, no autographs.’ So we never really wanted to get close to him in the first place.”

These fans tried their best to understand that James is on a tight schedule and doesn’t have enough time to interact with the fans, but praised Kobe for trying to fit in and accommodating his fans:

“Kobe’s charisma is on another level. He knows how to fit in. When he isn’t doing anything, he accommodates those who want a picture or autograph. If not, he knows how to decline politely.”

It’s no surprise that Kobe is the most popular athlete in Asia because there is mutual respect. The fans really appreciate all he has done and in return, Kobe has always tried his best to connect with them. Like James, Bryant doesn’t have to go out of his way to interact with his fans but his efforts likely stem from how he is received in the United States these days.

This is from back in June when Phil's book was coming out. The hour conversation with John Salley in Glendale

cant watch now but that interview was an hour long??? did he read the first 8 chapters or something?

It's Phil and Salley recounting some stories together.

Salley: "Why'd you cut me? I remember, they called it 15 Minutes with Phil. I sat down and you told me, I have no real estate for you Sal, so what you gonna be doing this summer? Uh... smoking marijuana now"

ESPN has forecast the Lakers at 12 in the West. :pimp:

:pimp: idk about you guys but its nice to not be hyped up for once. Instead of being predicted to be a finals team like most years, experts don't even think we'll be in the playoffs.

It means that there can be no disappointment. Nothing to lose. Everything to gain. Lets go out there and ball it up, shock the world... And get an 11 seed or higher :pimp:

:smh: dam P you got your ear to the streets because I think that's exactly what you predicted too.

Hopefully we surprise some people because a 12 seed would make the season unbearable, I can't remember the last time we weren't sniffing the playoffs.

Nah, but it ain't that difficult to project the range teams are going to fall into this season.

Going by ESPN's projections, the Lakers would be looking at the #10 pick in the draft. That's usually no man's territory in the draft, but at least it gives the team a chance at a potential building block.

It's the Lakers fam. Anything short of a parade in June is a disappointing loss. I NEED a new championship tshirt yo! I'm tired of these other cities eating.
