imo it should be the opposite, you're missing out on a lot of great shoes if you're using retro Js for bball
Saying dudes shouldn't be wearing Jordans if they don't play basketball or if they never saw MJ play live ...gotta be the dumbest statements ever.
Let the youngsters cook.
NOWResellers are trying too hard to be "hustlers" not knowing that reselling sneakers is probably one of the worst hustles ever
This. It blows my mind how the shoes of these players (Jordan and Penny for the most part) have eclipsed their athletic abilities on the court. I'm 30 now, but remember as a kid wanting certain basketball shoes because the looked cool, but mainly cause they were that particular athlete's shoe and I was a fan of that athlete. I got Jordan's cause back then Nike Air gave young kids the perception that you could fly like Mike and as a 6 or 7 year old that's what I thought I was gonna do when I hit the court in those VI's back thenAll the people who lose interest in sneakers when the bubble does burst didnt love sneakers in the first place.

depends on how you go about doing it, wanted to try and get the prelude kobe 2s at niketown shanghai a few weeks back but the guy who worked there said that there are people that pay a bunch of guys 2-3 dollars (converted from RMB) to camp outside and buy up all the stockResellers are trying too hard to be "hustlers" not knowing that reselling sneakers is probably one of the worst hustles ever

they then walk out of the store and sell to anyone that wants to buy them for 3-4 times the retail cost, if not they bring them back to the boss and the shoes get put online for sale
when i was told that they bus them out 20-30 people at a time i was like damn.... gotta respect the hustle i guessSon if that that's not a douchebag move, then I don't know what isdepends on how you go about doing it, wanted to try and get the prelude kobe 2s at niketown shanghai a few weeks back but the guy who worked there said that there are people that pay a bunch of guys 2-3 dollars (converted from RMB) to camp outside and buy up all the stock

I don't like Lebron and I have yet to buy any Lebron kicks ... that's just me.

Most of these kids who buy these shoes today, look like they haven't even touched a basketball. or play any sports. I get the fashion aspect of buying sneakers now, but it just is strange to see how things have changed over the years. Prime example is Lebron. Check the Lebron XI forum. Plenty of people in there say they can't stand Lebron or his game, but gobble up every one of his sneakers because they look cool.....I don't get it.
In my head, an "OG" 'head only existed in the '90s. Before "sneakerheads" really existed.
I'm older and I buy the shoes because I like them. I don't care who thinks they're cool. To me the designs are timeless, so when the fad dies out I'll still feel fresh...to me. And that's all that matters. I swear some of you NTers spend more time hating than focusing on your own ish.The old men are worse.
At least the teens are using their mothers money and trying to match their Y&R shirt to impress men and women. That 30 year old literally just wants to impress men.
Or he could be a rare breed and literally just want them.

All this effort over shoes. This hobby is getting more silly and pointless to me as time wears on.
The "OG heads" and the "noobs" can have it. I have just about all the pairs I could possibly want. Just give me a new pair of Air Max 1's every now and then.
I hate to break it to you but retro Jordans SUCK to ball in (compared to whats available now). They serve a better purpose as a casual sneaker than a performance one. Keep hating.I completely agree. It's like buying track shoes and can't run. People can be extra lame lol
