Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Bible stories are classics, whether you like it or not.

If Bible **** wasn't Bible ****, it'd be some of the best **** on screen.

We got different tastes and definitions of the word classic. Liking it or not aside.

Just cuz it's in the bible doesn't mean the story was a classic :lol

It's a book with many authors. Not all were good clearly word to Noah.

I don't disagree that some stories would look cool as movies if they stuck to the script though.

Classic is what it is for more than you or I's opinion.
It spans generations.

Like it or not, Thise Bible stories are Classics.

No pinion needed. But argue away.

Like, how we were talking about "Noah". The Noah story, and now you are arguing how the "Bible" has many different authors Yap yap yap.

Noah man, Noah. Just Noah. Leave the Bible out of it, it won't brace your argument.

You're the one that said and I quote
Bible stories are classics, whether you like it or not.
So I specifically replied to that when you expanded your opinion to every story in the bible :lol

You're the one all over the place with it.

Take your own advice if you just want to talk about Noah :lol

So you're just saying every bible story is a classic and that's a fact. No opinions :lol

Once again not just talking about Noah but bible stories in general.

Then telling me I'm arguing with you because I disagree with your opinion.

Like I said you clearly have your own personal definition of the word classic. Saying that a lot of ppl agree with you doesn't make it a fact. You'd think that'd go without saying but I guess it's just a #s game to you. If millions of ppl have the same opinion, I guess objectivity is irrelevant if it doesn't agree with your opinion.

At least your close mindedness is more evident now.

You get so upset.
Over there editing so fast I can read your post.
I edit not to double post like you do. I try to avoid that. You just tried to end the convo with a "K" but couldn't help posting again with this :lol but I'm upset

I don't see how editing my post means I'm upset. You have poor intuitive skills if you think you can sense when I'm upset or any other emotion for that matter. I think you can't deal that I'm pretty much blunt and frank with you so you interpret that as anger on my side. It's not but I don't blame you for being unable to be able to tell how I feel through the internet.

End of the day, you're trying to tell me your opinion is a fact because a lot of ppl agree with you and if I disagree with your opinion it should be disregarded because you think it's a fact.

Went from Noah is a classic to all bible stories are classics :lol

Opinions are now facts, when it comes to the bible.

What's everyone's favorite Kubrick film?

eyes-wide-shut.jpg

My favorite Kubrick movie is Dr. Strangelove. Mainly on the strength of Peter Sellers' genius performance.

So when Midnight in Paris came out, I didn't like it.

I decided to rewatch it last night since it's pretty well acclaimed, and still didn't like it. Am I the only one 8o

I've never seen a movie based on a story from the bible that I liked much. IMO, there's nothing that special about those stories.

Midnight in Paris falls under the category of "I love it, but wouldn't have a problem if someone else didn't" Despite the very positive critical consensus, I wouldn't consider it a universally loved movie just because it's Woody Allen. I love Woody Allen.. even the "bad" Woody Allen I still appreciate and can enjoy. If you're not a particular fan of nostalgia, classic authors, and Woody's style and charm, then maybe you wouldn't love it like others. I'd still think you could appreciate the cleverness, writing, themes, but still not like it.

I'm not sure if my favorite Kubrick movie is 'full metal jacket' or 'the shining'

Clockwork orange is a solid 3rd, but definitely after those 2

I need to watch eyes wide shut again.. Especially with that theory of Kubrick trying to break up his marriage and judge cruise
