Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I still need to watch.. But heard there were some play with some of the timeline of the events

I think it would be a shock if it did. A summer release about NWA would be a stretch to get nominated.. Regardless of its quality.

replace all the marvel references and characters in captain america WS and its still a top 5 all time action movie

just so well done

best marvel movie by far

top 2 comic book movie next to dark knight

I really like Kubrick (and that's an understatement) but I'm not totally in love with him like he's GOAT director bar none.

I got preferences and there's directors have excelled with what I love about movies more.

Eazy:"Cruisin down the street in my six four"
Dre: "no, on beat man, on beat"

Edit: :rollin @ "bye Falisha"

This movie will get a lot of play in my home over the Winter. Very well done. It will definitely keep you in the right mind when it comes to putting food on your table.
All out inspiring Whether you're 15 or 45. F Gary zoned out on this one. Album might just go platinum all over again.

It's very hard to pick a favorite kubrick film because like Big J said, he gave you such a great variety in his work. I guess the one I've seen the most is The Shining so I'll go with that one but it's pretty much a toss up between that, Full Metal, and 2001 for me.

Also, to go back to the embarrassing animated films you haven't seen........I've seen every pixar/disney film except ratatouille. I don't know why I haven't seen it, should I be ashamed of myself guys?

Not really, you've seen all of them but one.. that's not bad at all

I was actually rewatching Ratatouille today, it's really good, man. It doesn't get enough love.

Did anyone in here watch the Fear The Walking Dead premiere? Worth it at all?

I did, was pretty good start. Very different from the pilot of original Walking Dead.

Shows the disbelief of something like this happening to society. Even with video proof, people don't comprehend it.

It's an interesting take. We'll see if it can hold.

Agreed. I put it in that Pixar top tier with Wall-E, Up and Incredibles. I love Peter O'Toole doing the voice of the food critic, Ego. They could not have made a better choice.

Good synopsis, I'll check it out then.

Kinda sounds like the strain. NYC is on quarantine and there are vampire monsters killing people in the streets but some carry on like it's all good.

I wouldn't give my opinion on it since I didn't watch the entire thing but the beginning did have that The Strain feel with ppl not believing being unaware, going about their day like normal.

Made me think the apocalypse could start now and we wouldn't know right away. Made me wish the OG TWD started with some disbelief premise instead of being knee deep in it with Rick.

After a while though I ended up losing interest and watching Ray Donovan, The Strain and Masters of Sex and only flipping back to it at certain points.

Aye Dardevil is pretty good... I really like the Wilson Fisk character... He makes the show so far IMO...

Is it me or is FX going hard as hell promoting The Bastard Executioner? :lol

I mean I was already going to give it a watch but now it's annoying as ****. If this **** aint great I'll be salty they went so hard. It got a certain look too that similar to Vikings so it better be close at the least.

Does fx have any other other show besides that and fargo premiering in the fall? I hope it's good. One thing good about sutter is he does think of a fresh concept for a tv show. Can't think of any tv show or movie about an executioner. The inevitable comparisons to GOT will be brought up though. I would watch interviews with people from Outlander and Vikings where they would be asked about GOT and they would have looks on their faces like why are you asking me about that other show.

I saw ahs is back oct 7. I gave up on that show last season. Only watched the first half of the episodes. The seasons always start good and then get worse. Except the first season though. I enjoyed that one the most.

:lol You right on that first part. I forget that The Bridge got cancelled, SOA is done, and I think another show wrapped up for good as well so they need to get a few more hits for another long run.

I know AHS is having another season in the fall I think. Think it's a hotel this time around.

I can see how those guys on those other shows would be salty about being asked about GOT. It seems like any period piece in an era before guns that has ppl talking with a certain type of accent, deals with kingdoms and royalty will get the automatic GOT comparison even if it didn't come first.

See, I like the difference in the two. I like that OG started with the little girl kill, then flashing back to normal times, then Rick waking up. The eerie quiet, everyone gone, etc. Just set the mood so right.

Now we see the other side of that, the actual beginning of this unexplained phenomenon. The EMT giving CPR and then the guy's arm starting to move and suddenly grasping him to start biting was really really cool, IMO. All the shots to the gut, loved it. The world doesn't understand yet, and many will pay the price for it.

But that kid, reading the internet, safety in numbers, carrying this nothing blade......so, so smart. I really liked the thought process so far. We'll see if they can stay with it.

I haven't seen the spinoff yet but your take on it has me sold already. How you described the pilot episode of TWD is exactly what got me hooked and if you think the new series has a cool take, then I'll prob check it out

Romantic Comedies happened.

I did like the white house x Die Hard movie he did. Can't remember the name cause they made 2 of the same movie that year...

I never bothered with NBC's The Slap, but Australia's version is intense man.

I finished the first episode and Jesus Christ, woah.
The chick from Triangle and Turistas is in it, that was a nice surprise.
