in a way both, but mostly the revelation
the ending wasnt that bad, but I am a little tired of the standard QT "everyone dies in a big explosion of violence" ending that seems to happen in all his recent movies. Although I thought the very end of the movie was amazing, just the two of them laughing while she was choking 

But what I was let down by was that we had 3 unique and interesting characters that were so different from eachother, and the fun of QT movies is watching how different people interact. But it kind of ruined it for me when we find out that all 3 of them are just members of a gang and their interesting character traits were made up. Madsen and Roth went from super interesting to generic bad guy. 

The reveal also felt kind of rushed, like sam jackson figured out bob the mexican and madsen admits to the poison but then rather than the characters continuing on with the detective work we just get a huge flashback exposition dump. it was like "lets get this mystery out of the way so that I can get to my bloodbath"

games , i liked the ending. didn't feel rushed. coin surprised.
revenant was amazing. i see why people upset he doesn't win one

Any of y'all seen Anomalisa?

Saw it yesterday, it was suprisinglly captivating. The stop motion was incredibly impressive.

The animation looked like a combination of puppetry and stop-motion, I don't really know how they did, but it was completely mesmerizing. I'm sure the incredibly naturalistic voice-acting and strong writing helped in this regard.

sex scene. Lots of giggling at first because 'this' was about to happen in the movie (probably remembering Team America I bet), but they gradually became more respectfully silent as it turned into a really tender moment between the two characters.

Watched the assassin. I really wish I'd read this timeline of it which explained the whole plot beforehand. I wasn't able to follow. I actually recommend for anyone that plans to watch this that isn't familiar with the Chinese story it's based on to just read the plot beforehand. Or you'll likely wind up wasting your time plot-wise. It was visually beautiful to watch though. I plan on watching it again eventually just not any time soon.

I think this was the most gorgeous film I saw from all of last year, but anyone with any sort of distaste for slow, confusing arthouse filmmaking (or even the stereotype of such) should stay far, far away. Don't even expect much action in this.

I don't know if I posted about it but yeah Tom Hardy is up there. I saw Stuart: A Life a few days ago. Cumberbatch is also in it.

Hardy plays a homeless dude with mental issues and a former drug addict. When I say Hard really came off like a homeless person you don't want to be in the same room with I mean it. From his garbled talking to his mannerisms. Dude was just out there and I know his real life mirrors some of it.

The eye acting was up there as well Son was looking crazy in some scenes to expressing such sadness in others.

Exactly my point. 2015 was a strong year for cinema. It's not in my top 10 films but it was good just not award worthy other than visuals which it will still lose out to anomalisa

Speaking of Anomalisa, the stop-motion was incredible. The puppets were very realistic, almost had me forget I was watching dolls instead of people.
