Actually, it would be MUCH  worse than that in my opinion.

As much of a sham that 97 MVP was(blatant case of voters fatigue), atleast Malone put up legendary type numbers himself. Malone put 27/10-4 on 55% shooting. And the Jazz had the best record in the West.

Rose is avg 24-8-4  on 44% shooting. In no way should those numbers constitute as an MVP season. That's a good year, not the "MVP". LeBron is statistically superior across the board.

Seriously Malone AND Barkley deserved those MVP they put up numbers better than Jordan on teams with better records, that usually means MVP.

Your argument is faulty and can be inverted to reason the following:
The Cavs put together a great supporting cast for those two seasons and with them, Lebron and the Cavs were able to lead the NBA in wins.

Now that he has left Cleveland, the value and talent of those Cavs players are highlighted because Lebron can no longer lead the NBA in wins without them.

Do you guys not understand that MVP stands for Most Valuable Player? The concept of most valuable applies to an individual's value to his team. For instance, last year, Lebron was more valuable to the cavs than any other player was to his respective team. This year, Rose fits that bill. The Bulls - Rose = Not Good.  The Heat - Lebron = Decent. Lets not make things more complicated than they are.

QFT. Stats got a lot to do with it. but it gopes deeper than that. But yea Lebron is the best in the L right now.

Not when there's players like Durant, Rose, Kobe playing at a high level...

Lebron might not even be the best player on his own team...

Gasol, Bynum, Artest, Odom >>>>anyone on the Cavs not named Lebron.

You think if Lebron shot 6-24 in ANY game of ANY playoff series the cavs would win?

while i do think lebron is the mvp. your argument is flawed. If the mavs lost dirk , they would be BAD....like VERY BAD. Doesnt make him the mvp. and in Cleveland's defense they've lost big z,shaq, varejao, and mo for a good chunk of the season. They get mo n varajao back with the first overall and and some notable free agents and they can make a run for the 8th seed next year.
