\\ Post Your Car vol. Been a minute //

Speaking of cop cars. Was the impala ss 96 a cop car too ? Or was it the caprice ?

Impala wasnt and def not a 96. Floor shifts are no bueno in patrol cars.

Technically the 94-96 Impala was just an appearance package for the Caprice(color keyed paint available in three choices, grey interior and lowering springs). They're even titled as Caprices in most states. No point in departments ordering them over the 9c1 Caprice which was already equipped with heavy duty suspension.

Been on the hunt for a Charger RT/SRT but lately I've been feeling the Chevy SS.

Anyone have one? How do you like it?

I'm sitting at 20 mpg now, but I was hitting boost on the way home so that contributed to it :lol This morning too :hat

^if you can find 1, do it, esp if its a 6spd SS

they hard to find just like a 12-13' 300SRT

Durango weighs about 5000lbs, plus myself and tools for work, roughly 5300lbs

Sooo my car has been doing this weird idle thing. It'll just randomly make these weird burble noises while I'm stopped and I can see the rpm dip every time it makes the noise. The noise can be heard under the hood and from the exhaust tips. Also feels really sluggish. It's weird don't know how to explain it that well lol

^ damn man I specifically remember the same exact problem in my first car the civic. Can't remember what it was it was exactly though.

I was curious how much yours was going to be. I've been getting hit with rocks like crazy too :{.

Mann..., I know it's bound to happen, especially during the winter. But it's a 5 month old car so my OCD is extreme right now.

Another body shop quoted my at $200 to spot fill and paint it. I'm going to wait until the winter is completely done just in case anymore form. I was going to get a full detail with paint correction after every winter so I'll just factor this into that cost.

I'm thinking about using cquartz on mine to help protect the paint. I think it was Memphis who did this on his stang? Any thoughts fellas?

New daily. Got to park Da Hemi a little

Haven't had the chance. I'm using my daily for now. Spark plugs and fuel filter were changed less than 10k miles ago. Could it be an exhaust leak or a catalytic converter or something like that?

It'll pay off in the end my friend.  House > Car.  Was considering getting a 911 but I think I'm going to get a house first. There are so many tax benefits and advantages that a house has and a car doesn't.  You could potentially even use your house to purchase your car down the road if you needed.

I know this is the car thread but buying a house over an expensive car is a no brainer.

If I knew what I know now would have driven cash cars and bought a house years before I did.

Deff get you a house first. I just purchased my house in April last year. Did a few things to it now I'm lookin at doing the car and/SUV purchases later this year...
