For some reason, I have never really understood the meaning behind the word "simp"

i dated this Ecuadorian chick once, i was sooooo sprung i broke off my engagement and made love on the phone every day for a whole month (she lived in Florida I was in NY) anyways I bought her plane ticket 2 times up here in a span of 3 months, the second time I happened to end up hospitalized, she came to NY didn't answer my phone calls or bother to visit....then a week later i finally got in touch with her I WAS PISSSSSED and her excuse was "I didn't know how to get to the hospital" come to find out i was friends with her friend on FB and she had pictures of them partying while i was in the hospital....i think that as low as i stooped...
