I have this love/hate relationship for the Unicorn MG’s. Such a pain in the butt to build and transform into destroy mode but looks awesome in the end. I still have to complete the Full Armor build and waiting on more paint for Banshee.

I’ve been sitting on my full armor unicorn for months. I promised myself I’d build it first before getting a banshee norn.

Any insight on Phenex MG? Is it worth getting? I would assume there’s no way around the nubs during cutting...

I mean, it’s a good plated unicorn so It looks cool in theory but you’re not gonna be able to avoid the nubs with out paint and it’s a finger print magnet

Currently working the Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina from company Daban. It’s based on bandais metal build figure so it was surpassed a master grade interns Of Details and Gimmicks. A solid 70% of this kit is gold plated with two different shades of gold. Being third party though it has its issues. Some places are undergated but A LOT of them aren’t, especially on the gold plated parts so the nub marks are horrible at first but I’m keeping the nubs small and painting them as I go a long so they’re pretty much unnoticeable.

Amazon, it came with one of the tool sets I bought. They can be found individually on amazon too. People spend so much time and risk damaging the parts trying to sand/shave pegs that are too tight when it’s so much easier to use the drill set to widen the hole instead.

Ver ka’s always have an obnoxious amount of water slides. They’re the best looking decals you can have though

Finally setting up my building room. started with organizing my closet. On the left are my built kits and on the right is my backlog. I think I’ve hit thay 1:1 ratio of built vs not built favoring the built kits. I’ve got red and gray zeta coming next week and my preorder for the advanced hazel is on its way from Japan.

Quick question, what type of decals does ZZ Ver Ka come with? My Barnes and Noble had one on sale for a while. Thinking about picking it up. The reason I ask because I thought all Ver Ka’s came with water slides but my Unicorn Full Armor and Unicorn Ver Ka came with the clear decals you remove with tweezers.

The full armor unicorn only comes with sticker decals unfortunately. It’s one of the few ver ka kits that doesn’t come with water slides. I believe the only others that don’t have it are rx-78 ver ka and wing Gundam
Ver ka. Zz ver ka does have them thankfully and it’s a decent size. Since I got mine on the first print run it came with the premium metallic decals too. The regular ones come with the standard decals.

didnt get a chance to work on it this weekend but ive made some progress on the astray gold frame. despite being a third party kit this is probably the best version of any astray in 1/100 scale.
