I was in the office bathroom brushing my teeth after lunch
Older 70yo white dude co-worker came in, was taking a piss at the urinal, and asked me what my favorite season was
I told him fall/winter, I don't like summer and humidity
He said "Wow I thought you'd like summer because of your genetic makeup" (I'm Southeast Asian)

I told him I was born and raised in America
He said "Oh I didn't know that, but still your genetic makeup"

More ignorant and limited world view than anything, though I bet he's spent some time in southeast Asia. I get the same thing being Jamaican sometimes, just a lot of older folks decidedly stopped learning at some point and what they know is what they know.

‘It’s okay to be white’ signs appear at Tufts University
The phrase has been adopted as a slogan by some white nationalists.

MEDFORD, Mass. (AP) — Signs saying “It’s okay to be white” have been found posted at Tufts University.

Campus police were notified around 2 a.m. Thursday that the flyers were attached to lawn signs urging students to vote.

A university spokesman says the signs were removed and police are investigating. No further information was immediately available.

Similar signs have appeared on college campuses across the country over the last year, including at Harvard University.


Several were found last weekend at the University of Vermont and at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.


The phrase has been adopted as a slogan by some white nationalists.

A report from the Anti-Defamation League this year found that white supremacist groups have targeted college campuses in surging numbers since President Donald Trump was elected in November 2016.

My neighbor is a cool guy. He might not have any filter to his mouth but since he is my neighbor in my apartment building, I deal with him. Also, he is the landlord's brother-in-law as well.

Anyways, we were talking about Halloween costumes and I told him that I was going to be Leslie Chao from The Hangover. He starts laughing and says that I should definitely dress up like him because I look just like him.

This happened yesterday:

I've been looking at apartments because I want to live by myself. Some of the other reasons is my neighbor that I wrote about above and my roommate and I just don't connect at all.

When I got to the apartment, it was some 65 year old fat white guy from Boston who is just like my neighbor that has free rein to run their mouth to anybody because they're "True Americans". Anyways, when I got to the place and we finally met face-to-face. The first thing he says to me is "you should have got Chinese food for us". What does that mean? The apartment was a POS and I left in about 5 minutes. I am not going to give my money to some racist every month. He has enough money to buy his own Chinese food.

Update: Idaho Statesman newspaper reports that 14 staff members have been put on administrative leave.

Also, The article says the costumes were made in a team building exercise.... WHAT?! And that there wasn't malicious intent? Wow, this is horrible.
