Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

I doubt Joe would of said/done **** but laughed. He not a soft dude but I think he would of let ol boy try to expose Nadeska or whatever he thought he accomplished.

On another note the fact Akademiks acknowledged that C2 was better than C3 surprised me.

We don't give a fizz*** my ___, we young and bizzuck
We'll **** a ___ **** up, if ____s is ****ing with us
And the pump'll make 'em lift up, hit 'em up and be out
And we out, for cash **********in' money baby, c'mon! :pimp:

I have C II over C I personally, with the other two not even being worthy of mention to me. I remember revisiting C III maybe last year and feeling like it aged horrendously for the most part.

You sleep in the field for trying the dude
I'll bust ya head to the meat turn ya mind to food
Food for thought, think I ain't lyin' to you
I lie his body in grease, set fire to em
I tie his body in sheets put the tires to em
Make em feel the Escalade put his feet in the blades

I move it from a eighth to a slab from a slab to a quarter
From a quarter to a half from a half to a hard one
You do the math it's a horror
While I be on the ave gettin off one nineteen for a soft one
Bricks I loft 'em catch him he hot
If I catch you without my scratch I'm stretchin ya out

"The murder man, picture me lurkin
Right there behind ya curtain, 9 squirtin, Oh
And you can hear it when it's hurting,
But If I hear him hurting,
I walk over and murk him for certain
I took over the circus,
cuz imma act a clown if you put your feet down on my surface
I walk around Fo pound in service
To spin your asss around in circles, you Urkle
Blood run up out your earth, now you purple
Your homeboy get hit first, but you worser
Now You heading to the skies above,
And I'm going to get high with your bish in the club
Yea...life's a bish and Death's her husband
And you gon have to meet him if you keep on ****** Her
And you gon have to meet us if you keep on ******* up
But you don't wanna see them CMB Blood lovers, No."

Wayne was in his bag on this joint. Loved how he put emphasis on the internal rhymes. Byrdman's game spitting and intro verse were also top notch :pimp:.

I move it from a eighth to a slab from a slab to a quarter
From a quarter to a half from a half to a harbor
You do the math it's a hard one
While I be on the ave gettin off one nineteen for a soft one
Bricks I loft 'em catch him he hot
If I catch you without my scratch I'm scratching ya out

When I started learning what he was really talking about...and understanding math, metrics etc like 2 years after this dropped....I appreciated this line even more . The 14 year old me knew he was talking bout dope....but I didn't get the lingo.

Few years later with some more life experiences.....

No Ceilings 2, FWA, S4TW2, Dedication 4&5 all had some heat on them

Nahh......Wayne been done since 08. And No Celilings was his last listenable body of work....and that was 09.

Big fan of 02-07 Wayne. Probably know more songs from him word for word than any other rapper.

Squad up Wayne is Wayne at his lyrical best though. Song making ability ain't catch up to him yet.

Carter 2 was Wayne at the perfect intersection between song making, hit making and lyrical ability. It's the easier album out of 1 & 2 for everybody to listen to. Something for the east coast. Something for the south. Something for the west coast (Kurrupt Feature), R&B, Pop, something for the ladies, something for the freestyle crowd.

Looking back...the songs seem calculated almost. But not in a bad way.
