Whenever anyone ask why protestors berate and yell at cops, why riots happen, why people loot, etc this is the reason.
Most Black women see the victim as their son, brother, nephew, husband, etc. Most Black men see the victim as their brother, father, son, and themself. You can't reserve your emotions when imagining someone you love being behind the brutality.
If you ever get upset about violent protest or riots or whatever, just picture your best friend or closest family member being stopped by police and being killed. Think of how much it would impact your anger or pain to hear that he was killed because he "didn't cooperate" and ask yourself how much it would reduce that pain and anger. Short answer: it wouldn't.
