Shooting Reported at Las Vegas Casino Hotel

Word but nypd looking military and ****

Before 911 IIRC, nypd had no counter terrorism unit

Now we got military po lice
Yeah, there's a much bigger focus on it now...I'm sure they twart a lot.

But when you think about it man, all it takes is someone turning their steering wheel sharply one time. I don't fear it happening at any given moment, but I'm always conscious that all it takes is for one person to make a decision.

The mind is a dangerous weapon. For a lot of people, Sandy Hook was the barometer. Do you think this guy sat there in 2012 watching the Sandy Hook stuff occur on the news and was like "What a tragedy...how could anyone do this to kids?" and then 5 years later, he unraveled to the point of no return? Or do you think he was always cold-hearted and gave no damns.

Same thing with this tragedy now...all around the country people are seeing this and unfortunately, it won't stop some crazy lunatic from doing this in the future. There are some who are demented and are inspired to copy these things...what can we do about it |l

Sometimes **** happens when u dont expect or suspect. Unpredictability can be killer. Nobody can prepare for unpredictability

FYI gun control laws in Nevada are extremely loose (much like the majority of America)

• Assault rifles are completely legal
• The transfer of Assault rifles is legal
• Open Carry is legal without a permit
• Gun owners are not required to have a license, not required to register their gun, and not required to limit the number of firearms they own.

Absolutely insane.
This has very little to do with what just took place in Las Vegas ...

If this guy was using a full-auto, machine gun, it literally has the strongest gun control laws applied to it that we have in this country ... Banned since 1986, owners have to be registered, finger printed, etc.

Much of what you referenced has nothing to do with this situation ...

Sorry if this is posted already... This looks and sounds so unreal.

People that are local to Vegas hear these kind of loud noises on the strip all the time. If I was out there I wouldve passed it off as fireworks and wouldnt have even flinched. This was pure evil for real. SMH

Irrelevant.

Ive heard all morning about him gambling and stuff whats that hace to do with the shooting. Because he emptied his accounts then? Gambling is damn near the #1 reason people go to vegas. They also talk about him using his wife's club card or whatever at the tables n stuff, um ok? Me n my wife only use 1 card when we went to rack up more points on 1 card to each have our own n have to play more

430AM 430AM that vid man :smh: imagine being that far out and getting hit with a bullet without at all realizing where it's even coming from.

I was saying this this morning, unless someone was shot right in front of you or people directly near you started running there was no way to decipher what those sounds were. Unless you know guns.

Even the performer, in another video, didnt even get off stage until after the 2nd round of shots.

Just Sad :smh: ... people just trying to have a good time

Its weird to me when people who don't know anything about guns or gun laws have strong opinions about how they are regulated.

Look at that poor white supremacist, wearing a vest that can be easily identified from 30 stories up, ushering people of all colors to safety, trying to protect and serve ... But y'all don't hear me doe ...

No we won't hear you using this event to pedal some ignorant hot take that ignores systemic problems with how minorities are treated by the police.

Commend police when they do a good job in the face of danger. Condemn when they fail at their job and murder innocent people.

Why this is so hard to grasp for some is beyond me.

This dude just gave Isis and other crazy white dudes a blueprint for future attacks smh.

Shooting from an elevated position with a rifle and a scope? Pretty sure... the University of Texas clock tower shooter was the first mass shooter to use that tactic.

I saw a vid with this dude standing with his arms spread out yelling how it's nothing while everybody was crouching. What an idiot.

It's definitely y'alls media too. I first heard about this on our news broadcast this afternoon at 1PM GMT+1. The segment showed the shooter and briefly mentioned that woman as being a person of interest but that she was not accused of actively participating in the shooting or anything.

It's crazy our our media is compared to other countries. Before that Dolphins/Saints game in London, their media reported exactly in detail what the meaning behind the protests/stance was, and here, it takes a fraction of logical individuals in a sea of ignorance to get that same message out.

All the lack of gun regulation has little to do with this shooting? Are you freaking serious?!

Also, it doesn't take much more than a few hundred dollars and some internet research to turn your semi auto into fully auto.

Very sad situation... I live in Vegas and the city is in shock.
A friend of mine posted about his cousin getting shot and said that at the hospital he was at, there were probably closer to 150 people that were either deceased or in critical condition. The media outlets are reporting 50+ but from everything I've seen the number could be way higher.

God Bless everyone in this situation. Prayers up for real.

Thought of you when I heard it was in Vegas. Happy to hear you're alright man.

Girl I know was just in Vegas but flew out last night. Left the strip early to reach the airport early so she thankfully wasnt around any of this. Heard her voice this morning.

Shame how every time this happens and gun control is brought up people throw their capes on to fly to the defense of the poor helpless guns because they're worried about the government taking away their precious big boy toys :rolleyes

Why is it so hard? Because your post clearly highlights the issue with the cause ... Police are rarely commended for doing a good job ... That man will not even be mentioned beyond my pithy comment on here ... And that is a problem ...
