my parents stayed there one time when we met up in vegas.  I stayed at the MGM.  My friends said the MGM was pretty crappy but damn imperial palace takes the cake.  Pretty sure they're just gonna level it and make a better hotel

 I went to Vegas when I was 16 and did more than you are doing right now. Hit the strip, go to NYNY and ride the coaster, then hit the GIANT ARCADE right across the street from it. Get something to eat, walk around and look at all the females, hit your parents up for some money, cop some shrooms and go to Cirque Du Soleil...

Vegas is always poppin'!  Definitely good to go during an event like big boxing match though, but honestly you can never really go wrong...
I usually stay at the Bellagio, it's nice and I like the location on the strip and usually have a good time @ Bank.  Wynn is nice... Palms is fun... Pool and bar at Hardrock is cool...

What a waste. I started gambling in Vegas at 17...a lot of it is just "can you pull it off?"

• you are mainly going to be playing slots, video poker, or maaaaybe youll be able to get into the poker room. dont try any of the pits. its almost not going to work.

• have a drink with you at all times. make sure to tip. if youre planning to be at a spot for awhile, tip well to ensure better service. make sure to converse and be relaxed and flirtatious (not too far though).
• if you hit a jackpot, DO NOT panic. don't forget to tip decently. however, you're $%%@%+ if your jackpot is over 1250. just take the L and leave 
  
• because of this, NON PROGRESSIVE quarter video poker is your best game. jackpot will give you 1000, so no need to get signed out for it.
• if you get caught, your ID is at your hotel or you lost it at a club the night before. they'll tell you to go to security for a wristband. thank them and leave. dont cause any problems, they wont hassle you as long as you leave and just cash your ticket later.
• if you do play poker, making conversation with the brush is a good way to get in. ask if they are running any out of the ordinary games you might play (doesnt matter if you do or not) like 7stud or omaha. tip the cashiers and the dealers accordingly and they wont bother you.

This should be good enough to kill some time and put you in a position to relax and talk with random folks, which is what Vegas is all about. Make sure to make use of the drinks. The place you are playing at will dictate how good the liquor will be (Venetian has hangar one at one of their bars/waitress stations, Aria has goose all over, etc). From the places I've played, I've never been caught in Vegas at a slot/video machine. I've only been carded at the pits (Mirage and Venetian card A LOT). I've never been carded at a poker room before, actually spent my Christmas Eve/Christmas morning at TI's #*@#$! poker room when I was 19
