I hope it doesn't happen.

That would be a good look but for some reason I don't think that BD will be in GS next season.
BD has 18 million reasons to stay in GS....
unless if he has 20+ million reasons elsewhere, in which case, that's the other team's loss for signing him for a contract he's definitely notworth.

Let's say the Knicks wind up with Beasley, would anyone be opposed to drafting Brandon Jennings in 09 if the Knicks get a top 3 pick then.

I must be the only one that thinks lebron is staying in cleveland his whole career...dude practically runs that whole statemmm

knicks have a better chance at d.wade or cp3(who I think is unlikely as well..i see N.O locking him up this summer)

nah, most cavs fans believe that too.

I think the Knicks definitely have a good shot at Wade though...depending on what Miami does.

at this thread. All it is is Knick fans thinking they are going toget the one or two pick and LBJ is going to come to NY in 2010. I hope the Knicks get the 8th pick in the draft.

The nets want both camby and melo.

THey can use keith's contract in trades if they want to so add that salary and others and it might........might be able to get done.

If we get melo and camby, we changed our team drastically. Would we be as good as Boston, probably not but still, it would be a great starting unit and a goodbench of young players (allan houston is also coming to training camp to try and make a comeback with us next year as well)

When does Shaq's contract end?

They could get some serious cap room in the next year or two, and build a supporting cast around Amare.

Thing is amare does nothing to make his teammates better. Its all abot himself padding stats and nothing else. He might be the most selfish player in theleague...

Why would Amare want to pad his stats now? He's in the midst of a guaranteed contract. What is he worried about?

Came across the Melo & Camby rumors today as well.

Camby coming to the team would help us a lot down low. We need that defender/shotblocker down low. & him being a vet helps us out because we have a veryyoung frontline. Camby would be a nice addition.

Melo would be of course a huge addition to the team. All star player that I would not mind seeing in a Nets uniform. The thing that worrie sme though, is thatRJ & VInce took awhile to get used to each other playing side by side. I wonder if Melo & Vince would take awhile as well. But if Melo & AI couldwork out after awhile, I won't doubt this. He would be a great player to the team though because if it did work out, he can score inside on the block, hitthe J, etc. A pure scorer. Devin, VC, Melo, Josh, & Marcus Camby would be a great starting unit for us. A complete spin on this team, but could work out.

With Melo, he is an all star player/franchise player, so this will be a difficult/long process in looking to move him on Denver's part. Kiki & Rod knowwhat their doing in the front office, so im sur eif they are really confident in this, they could look to get it done. We'll see though.

We'd look to use the following for Melo & Camby though-

RJ, Marcus, Sean possibly I heard, as well as Josh Boone. Nenads contract who we could use as a sign & trade & finally Keith Van Horn's contract. We also have some draft picks worth something for Denver...

Rod & Kiki said they wouldn't mind keeping the same unit for next year, but they really do want to switch things around...this would be what theirlooking for I guees, lol.

Yup... I'd trade Josh for Artest, split the MLE between Diop and someone like Mikael Pietrus, and buy a late first rounder if one comesavailable and take someone like Mario Chalmers or Brandon Rush that can come in immediately and contribute on the defensive end of the floor...

I saw a thread on a Pacers board not long ago, talking about how they (fans) would almost be happy with a deal like Erick Dampier and Jason Terry for JermaineO'Neal, because they just feel like Jermaine has run his course in Indiana, and it actually saves the team money over the next couple of years...

That deal = Gold Mine. But it'll never happen.

Rumors from Marc Stein suggest Cuban and Donnie Nelson will do everything in their power to get involved with Josh Smith and Shawn Marion if they comeavailable through sign-and-trade scenarios...

I suggested a JO for Josh+Stack+EJ then go after Artest somehow, I really don't think we can get JET for Artest though. I'd be much happier tryingto get Smith or Marion though.

The offseason, such agony.

If the Mavs get Artest, 2 of my top 5 favorite players in the league will be Mavs (Artest + Kidd).

Come onto the Mavs bandwagon Ska, come on, you know you like Dirk.

And how can you not like the beast known as Brandon Bass?

COOOOOOOOOO - SIGN !!!!!!

Thing is with Howard and Artest, the Kings don't see an age benefit. Both are 29. Also, a JET trade seems almost completely pointless with a team that hasa clog in two-guards and in need of a PG or PF (which this draft will hopefully bring for the Kings). Also, Howard for Artest wouldn't be a bad idea if youknow, the Mavs didn't give up all of their first round picks for the next fifty years.

As Kings fan, I wouldn't mind a trade for Howard, but I don't see an overall benefit. We go down in defense, and lose a star player that will drawdouble teams. And the age thing is a big factor. Howard is only a couple months younger than Artest. How much are the Kings really willing to mortgage on aplayer with a longer contract with lesser skills.

Wasnt shaq having beef with coach hill and penny before he left?

On the print side today, I wrote about the Nets having conversations with the Nuggets about Carmelo Anthony and Marcus Camby in a package deal. I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact deal, but Richard Jefferson would be involved, at least one of the Nets youngsters - such as Marcus Williams - and at least one first-round pick. More would have to be included to make the salaries work since Anthony and Camby make about $25 million combined next season. Bergen Record

Nothing is imminent because the Nuggets haven't decided whether they want to part with Anthony. Plus other teams may be able to offer a better deal than the Nets if Denver decides to move 'Melo, who has lost in the first round each of the last five years. Bergen Record

The Nets also have to decide what they will do with Krstic, Bostjan Nachbar and DeSagana Diop. They could use their lower level and midlevel exceptions on them. Again, I never said the Nets are getting Anthony, but they're in talks and probably will talk again. (Vandeweghe's relationship with Denver as the former Nuggets' GM can't hurt). Bergen Record

If the Nets did get Anthony and Camby it would be a major dent in their hopes of being a player when LeBron James becomes available in 2010. But they would have Anthony, which isn't a bad thing. Bergen Record

the Mavs with Josh Smith would be a problem....
eek.gif

Kidd for Iverson (or somethin similar) should still be done, it makes sense for both teams to me.

Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Andres Biedrins, Bellineli, and a 1st round pick for Melo and Camby lol.......

starting 5:

Camby
Wright
Melo
Monta
BD

Nothing is guranteed though. If we didn't have Melo, is there a chance we could get LeBron? Yes. But if you can improve now, im all for it. There is nogurantee & if you end up with niether, thats not good for us.
laugh.gif

Im for this trade, I know their rumors, & they'll be pretty crazy since Melo is an all star, but as I said it would have a lot of kinks to work out. Itcould be worth it though.
