SO I GOT BANNED FOR NOT TIPPING LOL

i just cant get with giving my friend money for them working. if they really helped me out, then i would pay it back some other way like drinks, dinner or such.

You should offer it....work is work bro....specially if the service your friend is providing is no amateur *** for example I charge 600$ for a maternity session, good friend of mine is pregnant and asked me for pics, I shot her for 3 hours, at then end she pulled out a stack of cash and I declined it, but her gesture was more than enough payment for me....the fact she showed respect for my time and work was all I needed....I wouldn't had said anything if she didn't offer, but I can't front like it wouldn't have felt foul....we ended up going out to eat after and she covered the bill....you gotta learn to ***** the situation and act accordingly, I'm starting to think dudes who are so stubborn about a stupid tip, have some sort of social assessment issue....like their stubbornness/cheapness or whatever can't let them step outside the box and see if he'll this barber treated me really well and hooked me up, I know they have a normal fee, but let me throw in a few extra bucks he can pocket....is it gonna break my bank? Most likely not.

i can get with you on that. i did feel bad for not offering the first time. and since it was never brought up with me or my other friend (who was a closer friend to the girl that cut my hair) i just never offered from then on.

this whole "pay me more than I actually ask for or I might do something bad to you" culture is disgusting :x

the people serving the food aren't the ones actually asking for the money for the food though. If they could give you the food for free and just get a tip I'm sure they would

Agreed, it should at least be offered, just as a flat out courtesy for their time

they are a part of the business that asks for the money

that business hires these servers in order to increase business

It's just a hands per hour thing.

If you're sitting down playing poker and you're seeing upwards of 30 hands per hour, that's great "service".

A lot of dealers, even out in here Vegas, are complete and utter trash.

Casual gamblers wouldn't even notice something like this, tho.
Oh okay  I get you. I've gotten up from a few tables because of this. I feel like slow players at a table also contribute to making the dealer get a bit lazy as well.

I literally ended up paying back my friend who is a barber in food back in college

The only other barber in the dorms who was also a friend charged super cheap though. Bargains I could never get in BK.

When I did have a barber I never tipped him though and he was cutting my hair since I was 10. When I came back from college all of a sudden fades were $12 or $13 and a few more dollars for shaping up facial hair. Maybe I just got too use to paying $10 so I just started cutting my own hair.

lol restaurants are adding 20% service fees
Instead of tipping so keep complaining about tipping or just eat at home
i aint trippin off this at all
This is where dudes fail by calling ppl who don't tip cheap.

We aint worried about the food costing more money or the bill being higher
Only when I leave with 3x I made @ blackjack or poker and that's just my nice superstitious side coming out cuz I'm happy I won so much.

The tip usually isn't a lot either.
LOL @ You just expose yourself more and more as the days go on.

You should be tipping regardless, not just when you are up 3x.

You sound as bad as those, "Unless I get 5* service, I won't tip" dudes.
No I shouldn't.

What exactly did I just expose?

Also we're talking about tipping the dealer at casinos.

I'm not tipping the dealer because they dealt out the cards. I'm tipping them because I won a lot of money when they dealt me the cards.

What does that have to do with me not tipping servers AT ALL? There is no such thing as 5 star service from a dealer.

I'm sorry but you just reaching real hard talking about as the days go on. My arguments aint change. Keep reaching though. Maybe you'll grasp something next time.

Fool, you dont tip, you drive slow in the passing lane and dont move for faster traffic trying to pass.... I guess this is just your world and everyone else is living in it huh? Dont you new yorkers get stressed out purposely being ******** all the time? Sheesh.

Yea, for sure.

It doesn't seem like a big deal but if you're a pro player your hourly rate can obv be greatly impacted by a low hand per hour rate.

Unfortunately you can't really do much about slow players but some dealers man...

They'll be having like full blown convos and **** mid hand and I'm ready to blast Stone Cold's theme and stun everybody in the room.

Never stressed. Always right. Must be nice man.

why is it mandatory to tip a waiter for "putting in extra work" but illegal to tip a teacher for actually putting in extra work for your kid?

That's not a barber, that's a stylist  I have a barber I see almost every week and a stylist I see the same thing once every month or every other, he also charges 40$ and I tip 10$ older Italian dude I think too in some trendy *** barber shop in the village, dudes serve you scotch while you on the chair....that alone makes the tip worth it.

I hope you non-tippers getting a haircut with sharpened stones :smh:

Aware me as to what your stylist can do that the barber cant (or vice-versa?)

Because it can be misinterpreted as bribery? Are you really asking this dumb of a question? Is no wonder you can't grasp the idea of tipping
and the logic of "you better tip or they will give you bad service/spit in your food next time" can be interpreted as extortion

tipping first started as bribing servers to get better service

so thanks for helping me make my point

From my experience, there is no way my barber can actually style my hair...dude can clean me up and shape my beard proper but he's not cutting my hair, stylist use different techniques that my hick Dominican barber isn't going to do, that's why I pay my stylist 50$ and I pay my barber 15$

I don't tip for fear of getting my food spat in, uou should tip a cop next time you get pulled over, see how that works out for you

Dumb **** comparisons, reaching at its finest.

My beef is this when it comes to non-tippers: 75% of restaurants fail within their first two years.  Some of them don't deserve to be open, but a lot of quality restaurants are struggling to make ends meet. Restaurant owners are "cheap" for a reason.  If tip money is gonna lighten the financial burden of these restaurants, and you appreciate good food, I don't see why you wouldn't tip. I'd rather keep quality local restaurants afloat than see dumps like Applebees, Fridays, Denny' s, Olive Garden, etc. dominate.

This topic has ran its course. Neither side is going to change their stance.

People got issues if they're going to judge/shame a person strictly off of not tipping. Said person could be involved in their community, do a bunch of charity work etc but they're a scumbag just because they don't tip. That false judgemental behavior is such a bad look. It's way more serious things to judge someone off other then tipping.

If tipping is one of your main areas in which you judge character, you should seriously reconsider things and get off your high horse.

They just need to institute flat wages in the service industry like every other industry in the modern economy.

I tip, but not with a smile.

is your reading comprehension that low that you cant understand that the point is that it makes no sense to tip a teacher so it makes even less sense to tip a waiter

you are proving my point by talking about why its stupid to tip a teacher

or a cop

it doesnt make any sense to tip a teacher or a cop, that is the point.

keep giving away your money for no reason at all if it makes you feel more nobel

Nah it's just taking care of the teacher so theyll take care of you/your child. If your child gets neglected you honestly have no one to blame but yourself you cheap scum. Who raised you?

You a dumb *** you tip a teacher its unethical because it can be seen as you giving money to boost your kids grades....sometimes you should use common sense and understand what professions is ok to tip and which are not, a barber rents a chair in a barbershop which comes out of what he makes in a week, tips go a lon way for them, waiters work at minimum wage and provide a service that if you were to eat at a fast food joint you would end up doing yourself....restaurants should just do away with servers period, have you fools do everything with the exception of cooking your own food, see how you'd like it

Comparing bribery to tipping....

Going to lengths to justify your ways....my sons just own up your ways....stop trying to justify it.

I will continue to tip, I'm not gonna go broke because of it....

Funny how only 1 person addressed my question about how you non-tippers handle public outings with people that believe in tips when it comes time to split the bill AND tips.

We don't have a custom of tipping teachers or police in America. Unless you're a criminal. Tipping waiters in America is the custom. Comparable to a barber. Not civil service. I hope this is 100% trolling.

I tip. But if someone in my group is a non tipper I'll tip a little extra if the service was exceptional. Not because I feel pressured to cover his non tip but more to show love to the waiter.

I'm not going to look any less at my friend though over something as trivial as nontipping or put time on blast either over it.
