I got a Challenger R/T and even though I hate the Charger it performs way better than the Challenger. The suspension sucks balls and it doesn't handle that well. My boy has Charger SRT-8 and I got to drive it and I was blown away. Joint is

I only plan to keep it for 4 maybe 5 yrs.. the hell do i care about a warranty after that?  I don't care about depreciation either, that's only for folks who penny pinch every dollar they spend..if i lived like that, i'd never enjoy life. You think people who own lambo's and ferrari's are worried about depreciation?

I've owned BMW's and NEVER had electrical problems.  The only significant problem I had with my E46 is the window solenoid, but this is a common problem with E46's. Other than that no engine or electrical problems.  I've heard of water pumps going bad *mostly on M3's* but my car never had that problem.

going on 8 years now since i made the switch to Euros and will never look back.  And with the maintenance, if you cant afford them, you have no business buying a luxury vehicle.

if you have to save up to get a entry luxury car then da car really isn't for you....i mean most of da money you saved for it is gonna get torched because prestige only comes with a new

model...all da older models are low prices are some of da american cars you wanna make fun of....Lexus if anything is something i would get before a bimmer STRICTLY off

da fact it holds its value alot better....and oh man, wait till you have to pay a for your first service repair outta warranty..you're gonna wanna get rid of that car like da black plague.

Consider yourself lucky then... I have a family member who owned a 7 series and that thing was in the shop atleast 6 times last year due to electrical problems.

1. WRONG.  I'm in the military (Logistic Specialist) and I've work with a lot of contractors and for the military, from software engineers to pharmaceutical companies that supplies various drugs and medications.  I used to work at a Military hospital and most of the doctors, nurses and surgeons drive a European car.  Most of them will tell you to BUY the car and not lease them.  The only people who lease are the ones who wants a new car every 2-3 years.  Financing is the way to go, not just you can modify the car but you can also get some money back when you trade it in.

2. Please find a actual source that states that and not just from hear say.  I've owned BMW's for the past 8 years and (read my previous post) Ive had no major problems with my car.  Yes they lose value but they are certainly aren't the worst one in this category, I'm too lazy to check for actual FACTS but I highly doubt American cars hold their value over European cars.

3.  Where are you getting this information??? Most of the people buying Chargers, Challengers, Stangs ETC are the some of the older white (no rascist, just saying) dudes from my work.  I'll be more than happy to take you the parking lot of work and You'll see how many American Cars are there in the parking lot.  Come to Cali and try to make this argument because you will get laughed at.

wrong sir, most super cars aren't even driven enough to outweigh da fact that they aren't produced in large enough numbers....so da value maintains or goes up.

and how are you planning on paying for that 335i? interest payments on a depreciating asset? i hope not, cuz thats not too smart....
laugh.gif

there's a reason business folks dig da bimmers, they have AGGRESSIVE LEASE OPTIONS that can be written off as a business expense on they're taxes, combined that with

da fact that da first 4 years of service is on da house is pretty good for someone who has no intention of keeping it past da lease due date.

I wonder why anyone would buy a Volvo for performance (the R series?). The auto manufacturers listed actually have their own "engine" that is recognized by enthusiasts too. Word to the 2JZ-GTE.

If that is the case which I doubt it is get yourself a decent aftermarket suspension set-up, which was going to be done to the import also and the problem is solved

E46fanatics.com
Bimmerboard.com
SoCalEuro.com

I'm mainly on E46fanatics though...how you gonna go to a Bimmer forum and ask whether or not their car is reliable.  These people LOVE their cars and will tell you if not encourage to buy an E46 M3 like its the best thing since sliced bread.

For an American car owner you are the LAST person on earth to talk about depreciation. Luxary cars hold a higher value over American cars, that includes your Charger, 300c, F150 and any OTHER car you throw in the mix. Stop arguing cars kid, you know NOTHING and quick to run and hide your tail between your legs when somebody one ups you with proof. Son is throwing a new car out every page, last car was the Shelby 500, what's next?

For an American car owner you are the LAST person on earth to talk about depreciation. Luxary cars hold a higher value over American cars, that includes your Charger, 300c, F150 and any OTHER car you throw in the mix. Stop arguing cars kid, you know NOTHING and quick to run and hide your tail between your legs when somebody one ups you with proof. Son is throwing a new car out every page, last car was the Shelby 500, what's next?

You mean "for an American bus rider" because I'm pretty sure the only thing ninjahood owns is a bus pass.

Damn, y'all should wrap this up already, no one wins, period. This is all a matter of preference and opinion.

You think people who own lambo's and ferrari's are worried about depreciation?

Are you serious? My boss has an 05 360 as one of his toys and one of his ferrari buddys that stops by just got a 430 this past summer. They are smart people and would not be buying if they depreciated that much, sure they depricate but it's not like they are not worried about it. There is a reason they are able to afford vehicals like this and it's because they do not spend excessively, they were smart with their money. My neighbor got lucky and picked up an 05 GT back when they came out for sticker. That thing has apperacited over the years and he is just sitting on it. He does drive it though, very exciting ride with that super charger whining at WOT right behind your head.
