STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

It is. Also has a good amount of sugar in it, which is good for post workout.

Wonder what happened to that dude that came in here saying gummy bears were perfect post workout

Had everybody in here ready to hit the candy isle.

I'm still here, just been working full time. Turned into a pretty hardcore lurker.

i'm pretty sure that none of you placebros could tell the difference in recovery if you drank a soda and ate a steak and onion rings versus drinking some chocolate milk and ate some gummy bears. i'd prefer the steak actually

I just stick to Gatorade for my post workout insulin spike after I drink my protein. Takes 5 seconds to drink, and costs 50 cents per bottle at most.

i dont remember the last time i did post work out carbs

do you train that hard?

amino acids are insulinogenic enough for me or a hydrowhey shake

ill have a whole food meal with carbs later in the day

I don't think anybody in this thread goes to the gym to not train hard... Unless a deload week, or injury.

It depends what you are going to the gym for

Some guys want to get brolic looking, others guys want to look good
not looking to get brolic, more like athletic (basketball, soccer, etc), so im looking to start cutting.

What's a good starting weight for squats for someone who's just starting out?

It also depends on your weight and flexibilty too

What your measurements?

I'm 6'4 and weight about 238 lbs. High body fat %

I think you should be able to start with 135, which is the bar and a 45 pound plate
