STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Haven't been in here to much as of late, how's everyone's training going?

I'm about 3 weeks out from my meet so weights are starting to climb. As well as cutting to make the weight class.

Really awesome to see some of the progress you guys have made.
Whats good Mike?

I took some of @****nut123  and started a little 4 week beltless cycle and its been tough lol but I know it will pay off. Going to do whatever it takes to break 1500 in 2015.

Hows yours going? How much you gotta cut and what meet is it?

My bad, maybe I was more ticked at Zyzz's 2 cents again

Its my bday bros, gonna celebrate by leg/shoulder day.
Any planned birthday ink?

Any planned birthday ink?

Actually thinking :lol

I lowered my car last week so im a little on the broke end, especially since the Holidays are coming up. Gonna be selfish of me to dedicate a couple hundred to a tattoo that I could easy get post Holidays.

Thinking of that back of the neck piece or some script on my ribs though when the time comes. Both are gonna be terrible, especially now that I dont as much meat on me (pause).

Goddammit bros, think I entered snap city.

Got myself up to 225lb squat, did 2 reps and decided right away to drop set to 185. After that 2nd rep at 185 I felt a pain and tightness in my middle back. Hurts and feels tight when I twist my body, even sitting down I feel it tight. Sitting back on a seat feels fine with a little tightness but I feel it whenever my back isnt straight. Was feeling good today too, may just throw in the towel. Im upset.

Edit

Almost passed out smh. Got up after sitting for a bit and daw black and white. Went to my locker and coudnt even see the nimbers to grab my jacket. I managed to get my car keys from the outdoor lock and now im sitting in my car. Feels better but my back still hurts.

God ******** dammit. Maybe it was all the coffee I had + heavy squats. Ugh.

Happened to me a few weeks ago. You prob strained your back, it should go away in a couple of days

bigboss bigboss Yeah a Beltless cycle will definitely be worth your while. I'm doing a meet December 13 in Merced.

At my water cut now for the 198s,so basically maintaining till a week out. I'm shooting for around a 1500 this go around also. But we'll see how squats go lol

I think I leaned forward too much on the 225 and I literally jumped right to 185. If I took a breather I probably woudda had better form at 185.

Still sore especially when I stand up. Hopefully it feels better later, heading home for now smh.

I think I entered snap city. Im at home now and laying down ony back. Still feel pressure/pain. Twisting my body I feel it as well.

Suppose to be going out tonight for my bday. Guess I wont be in the gym for a while. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Been on a cut for 5 months and never took a week off to properly rest and eat at maintenance. I have 5 days off from work, maybe this should be recovery/pig out time.

Def not gonna squat or DL for atleast a week...

Definelty strained your back happened to me on Tuesday did 225x 8 times then went up to 315 for my max I felt like my form wasn't 100% for the heavier weight I felt a little bit of soreness in my middle back but I'm fine now it's just kinda tight every now and then .

Cant even situp without pain. Gonna just have a calorie load today, screw it.

I visited snap city while being forced to leg press in a PE class at A&M

The weight was off the rack on one side, and i went to push it up without my back fully being on the seat... I could literally hear something pop in my back and I was hunched over like the Notre Dame dude haha

luckily i dodged a major bullet and it was nothing serious, but it was scary.

haven't leg pressed since.

We'll I'd say start early, get to about 10lbs-15lbs away and water cut the rest. It's honestly difficult to lift with out that extra weight so definitely give yourself some time to get accustomed. And I'm doing a USPA meet this go around. Might look into other feds once my membership expires lol I'm also considering doing a bench only meet next year and going for the state record, it's at 430 right now

^

Went to the docs? Im going to the doctor tomorrow anyways for something unrelated so I have something else to tell him. Not gonna think anything negative unless I still feel it after the weekend.

I was JK bro, aint no way in hell Im cutting that much. Especially since I have 2hr weigh ins not 24. Im at about 235-240 now and that kind of cut would kill all my strength. Im just gonna stay at this weight and make the cut to 231s.

Go for that record! You're not even that far off.

bigboss going big!

looks like i won our office weightloss challenge by 1.5# some guy who did a slight water bloat at the beginning tried to dehydrate overnight. I didn't even bother dehydrating. had some avocado and a soda before we weighed in and i still ended up down about 18# gonna eat about 5000 cals today and then resume cutting for about another 30 days. strength is completely in the dirt right now. oh well.

Felt some tightness in my inner thighs/groin area from squats, first time experiencing this. Normal?

I noticed I was going super ATG today, maybe thats the reason?

I included groin stretchers prior to the workout

I get the same tightness when I'm doing squats too. I go ATG (none of that quarter-squat ish) and try to loosen them up by squatting without the bar and holding that position for 5/10 seconds or so to stretch em out, then do my warm up reps until I start my actual.

I also get that same tightness on the left side of my inner thigh/groin when I'm doing leg presses (right leg is perfectly fine) which I find odd and can't seem to figure out why...

Right side dominance maybe?
