My workout was terrible today. My warmup lifts felt like maxes...

I couldn't build to working sets on any lift

I'm very sad, now
 
I always try to do snatches and/or cleans for singles or doubles on Saturdays. I couldn't build to my usual sets so I tried to do some front squats and some jerk work.

Everything was no Bueno today.

I blame it partially on my wrist, but mostly I was just pretty tired.

Probably would've been more productive to sleep in..
 
I want to learn how to do behind the neck push presses. It looks bad *** for some reason to me.

The irony being that powerlifting, Oly lifting and CF all have eerily similar training styles.

Love doing behind the neck jerks/presses. Got to build shoulder strength, otherwise your OHS and Snatch will be garbage.

BTW the image of the Powerlifter is changing... Yes there are bigger dudes but their goal is increasing the total by any means. Recently a new generation is coming in and are leaner and the vets are pushing to lift in lower weight classes so they are in better shape. I'm a Powerlifter btw and am relatively lean but again that doesn't REALLY matter lol

Finally someone with more than half a brain chimes in. Majority of all the top level guys are lean now, with the exception of the 300+ guys of course.

Not worth really explaining to someone that doesn't lift though.
