make sure you eat plenty YRWB, and keep lifting. you'll be surprised at the difference after a year of being consistent.
thanks man I've been eating 3000 calories a day and I'm only 5'7 so that should be a good amount.

when i'm training hard, i probably maintain at close to 3000 and i'm only about 5'6" and 180#
if i were you, i'd eat more than 3000.
 
I have a co-worker who is 5'5" and weighs about 110lbs. He wants to "get big" but he has the smallest of meals and doesn't even hit the gym.

I've tried everything in the book to motivate this guy to hit the gym and constantly eat but nothing works.

Any tips!? His height and broom type figure is making him repel the yambs

Bring him to the gym for a month or two, i bet he can gain 10lbs in that time frame from noob gains. Once he sees improvement, it will increase his motivation to improve.

Block him in his cube with a heavy file cabinet and tell him if he would start lifting he could move it.
 
He went to the gym for about 1 month consistently and took a ton of Mutant Mass and stopped going afterwards. He is literally unhealthy

just make smarter choices and do your best to make your food instead of buying from fast food places.

Meal Prepping helped me out and is still helping me.

Make goals, find a plan, stick to it.

Many ways to skin a cat, find the one that works for you. Do some research, trial and error.
 
Yea that Monday crap is what has me 5 weeks into the new year and I've been to the gym 10 times. I have a BAD soda and chipotle addiction lol.
 
Eat your fish.

I'am sure you can get some super powers from it if it's survived that long in that tank.
 
For those interested in the Metcon 1's, I've just posted the following in the Metcon thread:




Just finished my first workout in the Metcon's.


And all I can say as a first impression ...... They are pretty awesome!

I haven't tried every possible movement yet obviously, but today's workout had a load of overhead squats in it which I would normally wear my lifters for so I thought I might as well test out the Metcons as they are supposed to have a solid feel and be very stable.

This certainly is the case. They felt rock solid on the OHS, no stability issues and you can really get your weight over your heels without thinking you are going to end up on your backside.
I know some people had concerns about them being too firm. To me, they don't feel completely lacking in cushioning. It is a firm ride, but there is still some give, especially in the forefoot so your feet aren't going to be wrecked after a few box jumps or a run. Flexibility in the forefoot area is good too.

One thing I did notice is they feel a bit heavier than expected. Not that they weigh a ton, they just aren't mega light.
In a way, they feel like a premium product; like when you hold a quality watch it has that weight to it that is satisfying to feel and hold. If that makes sense laugh.gif

Taking of premium, it might just be me, but the materials used and the construction is very good for a change, not flimsy mesh and cheap feeling pleather etc like some recent shoes have been. They feel their price if you get what I mean.


Anyway, I haven't had a chance to do that many movements (box jumps, running, burpees, C + J etc) yet so i'll update once i have had a bit more time.
