STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Does anyone get a sensation in their penis when doing calf raises? It feels like I'm about to pee, or some type of **** is gonna come out of my pipe. I always stop mid set because I feel like blood is gonna come out my ****. That probably explains my cricket bat legs
TMI you one weird dude :lol

Its your prostate

Alright guys. Im looking to join a gym. The closest gym to me is a 24 Hour Super Sport. They have no installation fee, $84 upfront (1st and last month dues). But, $45 a month. Is that a decent price/deal? Or should I be looking at other gyms like LA Fit, or Gold's Gym? Thanks guys. The info/help would be appreciated.

knee sleeves help with that immensely. it's my hips that will get tight if i take too long between sets.
Damn your hips be that tight bro? lol. Do you sit in between sets or walk around? Gotta do that there mobility and soft tissue work on your hips man!

Try to get that upfront fee waived or reduced but usually first and last month dues are standard. $45 a month is average, I pay $40/month for LA.

Anyone have this problem?

I feel like my legs (knees and down) are weak
No matter how many calf raises I do, they won't grow.
I can't stop locking my knees. I heard that locking your knees are bad, and I notice that when I'm standing up still, my knees are almost ALWAYS locked. Maybe it's in my mind, but I feel like my legs (knees and down) can't support my upper body muscle mass weight that I've put on in the past months. Are there any knee muscle excercises I can do to build up knee strength?

Or is this all mental?

I'll also add that my right ANKLE* is supinated to a point, kinda minor, I'm the only one that can tell (not sure if that makes a difference)

i ran a gym for 2 years. .. my advice is first you gotta decide what gym will you use the membership the most/enjoy going. A lot of times that comes down to location/convenience first and foremost. Also amenities. I dont know about 24 hour fitness but 45/month is kinda high. I rather get a lower monthly rate. Depending how good you negotiate, and how bad/good their sales are vs their quota, you may or may not need to put a little money down to lower your monthly rate. Itll be easy to want to cancel your membership if you're paying too much per month. A lot of times you can haggle better on weekends cuz sales are slow. A lot of times the entry level employee can't ir won't haggle or get 0 commission if they do, so you prob want to buy from a manager who wants club eft #s. At the end of the day, i would pay a registration fee if i was forced to if thats what needed to be done for a better monthly fee.

I can recommend you don't take a fat burner.

Nike Free 5.0's without the insoles (too much cushioning) are actually not too bad for low bar squatting. I usually do all of my lifts just in some Adidas D Rose 4.0's. The sole is a bit soft compared to the Rose sneakers, but I can work with it.

I have an eerie feeling your're not squatting properly.

Buy some of the cheapest Adidas powerlifts and squat in those.

Hell id go barefoot before using Frees personally.

I used to squat in my free run 2s. Have a good heal to toe drop have a wide forefoot area. I liked them. I squat now in my metcons mostly and aside from traction on the bottom (since my frees are old and beat) i can't really tell a big difference.

The biggest factor has always been stability. I would squat in some free 3.0s and they were narrow and with heavy weight became hard to balance in. But i had never had that problem in my free run 2s.

when i started working out with my co-workers, pretty much none of them squatted with adequate depth. military friend of mine posted up what i suppose was a bragging vid of him with about 300# and he was super shaky unracking and walking the weight back and he quarter squatted it for 2 reps and racked it. dude was kinda big too and i think he was on PH at the time. most of the comments were stuff like "beastmode" :lol
sadly, squats are just one of those movements that so many people do incorrectly.
