STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

yo lmao.

went to the gym at midnight.

brought my battle ropes in a bin and the owner said "i thought that was a boa constricter"

i threw a circuit in between my lifting sewts.

feels good man

^ is there a reason ur doing back and bi's the same day (i do shoulders and bi's), arent back exercises working out ur bi's as well? Doesn't that overwork the bi's?

Back and Bi's are like Chest and Tri's. The back is the primary muscle group while the biceps are secondary. You're exerting your primary muscles more than you are your secondary so no you won't overtrain them, unless of course you decide to do a separate routine for your biceps during back day. So really when folks are saying back and bicep day, you have to take into consideration whether or not they exercise them separately or in conjunction. In my case when hitting back, I will only do exercises for back primary, and give another day for my arms to supplement my shoulders.

267 bro? Isn't that quite a bit?... I mean, more power to ya i cant do that many.

But it seems like over-training to me... any experts care to chime in?

The workout calls for 8 sets of pullups - wide grip x 2, narrow grip (palms facing away from face) x 2, chin ups x 2, and palms facing each other x 2. I go until failure, not really sure how that is "over training" brah.

what do you guys think

A
Back squat 5x5
Bench 5x5
Deads 1x5 (3x5 if you count the 2 warm up sets)
Chin ups 3x F
lying tricep extensions 3x8
crunches 3xF

B
Front squat 3x6-8
Power Cleans 5x3
Clean and Jerk 5x3
Curls 3x8
Pull ups 3XF
hanging leg raises 3xF

AxBxAxx

I want to do more olympic lifting so my B day is olympic only with of course some assistance. It sounds good to me, clean and jerk is basically 3 in one movement. Clean, front squat, Press. If it doesn't work, does anybody have a push pull routine they'd like to recommend?

Legit. Best pre-workout supp I've ever taken. Not to be confused with Mr. Hyde, which is the chain-brand, 'knockoff' version. Hyde has banned stimulants in it, which is why it's not sold at stores like GNC and Vitamin Shoppe.

If you can obtain it, I'd definitely recommend it.

Hey man if that's the workout then you a damn beast. No hate here!

I remember when I first started workin out 3 years ago I literally could not do 1 pull up. God as my witness not 1! I was weak as fuuuuu...

Now I can do sets of 5-10 with pauses at the top, and slowly going all the way down.

I'm a long ways away from being able to do 267 but it feelsgoodman to be improving on them :hat

Am I missing something? Thats 4 variations of pull ups/chin ups doing 2 sets of each variation. 8 reps in a set and 8 sets total... thats 64.

Whats up fellas,

been lurking on this thread for a while and decided to post. Recently got back into working out after I stopped playing college football. Wanted some good excercise for the core/ab area. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I have read on here that it depends heavily on your diet. What would any of you recommend for an "ab diet?"

Thanks in advance

whats the deal with subways sandwiches? are they really healthy? i know it all depends on what you get but how healthy are they?

I wear gloves to workout and I don't give a damn what anyone thinks about me.

I'm working out to better myself, not impress people who are in the gym to judge.

I got soft *** skin that gets blisters within minutes if I don't use gloves. You think ima give myself extra pain during workouts with blisters just to look cool? He'll with that. I want healthy hands. I respect you if you're using gloves or not, as long as you're in the gym workin out and giving it your all, you are attempting to better yourself and that's all that matters to me.

It all depends what you get on the sandwich. I personally don't like eating that much bread (even a 6 inch, much less a foot-long), so i try to stay away from subway. However, it is a much better alternative than a burger and fries from various other fast food places. But what Illest said cracks me up. People go in there thinking they're eating healthy and order a foot-long on white loaded up with cheese, mayo and other bad things along with non-baked chips and a coke haha

Have y'all ever had or seen anyone eating a mini pizza from subway? The last time i was there i saw an obese lady eating multiple pizzas and i was just like

I mean. Look at it like a home made sandwich. It's all depending on how you make it. The reason a lot of people got fooled is because they thought they can go in there and make WHATEVER they wanted and still lose weight. So they would get like a foot long Philly cheesesteak with mayo and chips and a soda and all the rest.

I keep it simple IF i need a snack and get a 6 inch double chicken with my veggies and mustard. Works well.

iLLest!

this.. Oven roasted Chicken breast on wheat with Mustard and veggies...

thanks for the input guys, i usually get a chicken teriyaki on a wheat bread, no cheese and lost of veggies, ill try the oven roasted chicken

i wear gloves off n on too. when the bar, especially those new ones, starts to cut into that skin, it hurts like hell. if anything, it makes it harder to grip and ultimately holds you back. besides, females dont like being touched with rough hands, true story. my hands are strong as hell, all while being pleasant to the touch.

Goal: 4 plates for squats and deadlifts by summer. I don't care if it's July or September when I get there. I just want to!

Going to the gym with shorty makes me go harder. Idk why haha

Guess its that "Yeah that's my girl" attitude
