I had the surgery Thursday. Been in a lot of pain, but forcing myself to get up and move. Went on a walk today.

I have a sling (obviously) and a nerve block, which is the other thing hanging from my neck, it is a box which automatically pumps in pain medicine periodically through a small tube which is inserted into my shoulder.
