So what if CP3 never goes to the conference finals is he still considered one of the best of all time?

Yeah but it'll hurt him in my eyes when the topic of best PGs comes up. His assist and other statistics will warrant his all time great status. Not making a conference Finals isn't everything but it's def a negative IMO.

I've read on this site that teams that have smaller PGs as their best player can't win a championship. So why should CP get slandered for not doing something that is apparently impossible to do anyway?

:lol

Exactly, I don't why anyone has the Warriors as a championship contender can't win with a pg as your best scorer.

Had to skip from page 902 to this one to see if CP was still being discussed.

Those All Star jerseys are absolute fire..

I'm trying to see if a spot in Memphis is willing to sell me their Penny Hardaway one.

Personally I have always felt that John Stockton is overrated and there are several PGs I would pick over him if I were to build a team.

But that's just me though....

KK just had 20 and 12 in 24 mins off the bench. Bad move for Mem.

No he didn't :lol

That was Jon Leuer.

Koufos in the playoffs is not that useful. The only benefit to keeping Koufos right now is if Marc gets hurt and even if Marc goes down, Koufos won't be the reason we stay afloat if we do. The question isn't whether to trade Koufos or not, its whether to trade him for Waiters. Memphis needs more scoring on the perimeter, but not necessarily what Waiters provides inefficiently.

The initial trade would be Koufos for Waiters straight up. I don't think Prince would be involved. But, I would prefer a 3 way deal with Denver that brings Wilson Chandler and Darrell Arthur back to Memphis in exchange for Koufos and Prince. If not, I would like to offer Koufos to Atlanta for Demarre Carroll.

Memphis lose too many players due to free agency in the offseason when they know for a fact they are not keeping them long term. (OJ, Ed Davis, etc). I would like to move Koufos before the deadline before we lose him in the offseason for nothing as well.

Memphis is doing too well to try and experiment with Dion Waiters of all people.

He might fix a need if he works out. But he's probably gonna get to Memphis thinking thank god for this opportunity to be a franchise player and I ain't coming off the bench.

I hope he's taken a look at Waiters since he's been in the league and adjusted accordingly :lol

:lol

I know Waiters has not been great, but I also don't like to judge a player too early. There are a lot of variables to consider when looking at his production in Cleveland. He and Kyrie were a terrible fit from the jump and the fact that his role changed considerably when Lebron came on board his 3rd year. Not to mention the poor coaching in previous years. I'm not saying he would be great somewhere else, but I think a lot of those variables would factor in if Memphis was seriously considering him.

If Hollinger sees him as better value on a rookie contract compared to Koufos, it would not surprise me if they pulled the trigger. Its very risky, though. I never liked Waiters coming out of college, but I may end up having to cheer for him. :x

Word is Dwight might be out for an extended period of time. No real word on the status of Terrence jones and Kostas Papanikalou :x

That's definitely true. But another variable is his attitude/mentality. Normally I don't really like to dive into players' heads like that, but with Waiters, he's been so transparent with it over the last few years it's hard not to :lol
