Just tried to stock locate a 10.5 and 11 at Foot Locker with no luck. Footaction did not have them for me to try and price match.

Instructions or not, u have to go thru the sales rep. Not all reps gonna give u the favor, no matter what x store has em at x price. If jimmy is willing to give u the discount great. If Pam says "my system is showing $250 Nd website says $180 and that's the lowest I can go, no straight forward instructions gonna save u.

You are confused. This isn't an above and beyond. It's doing a job. You just don't know what you're talking about.
You don't have to ask for a favor for them to order a product for you. They are encouraged to offer such things.

Ok since both stores are under same ownership umbrella, wouldn't you be able to do same procedures but for footlocker and order thru footaction?

You clearly said the manager has the ability to override the price in the system to x price and you may find a manager that's cool that will match the price, but it's not a guarantee... so if it's not a guarantee, like mentioned, results may vary. Your result may not have been the same as others' results.

Price overrides are taken seriously therefore only a manager may do so. The manager knows the policy and he even called his district manager to confirm BECAUSE THE MANAGER INITIALLY TRIED TO DENY ME ANY TYPE OF PRICE MATCHING.
There is a policy. If you know this then it is guaranteed.
