The College Basketball Post

Arizona is a very different team w/o Ashley.

They miss him more than I even thought they would. They completely lose that nightmare matchup combo.

Jahii isn't even playing well and it's tied with 8 mins remaining.

And just like that...Jahii.

With Nickey Van Exel and Oscar Robertson in the backcourt. :hat

And William Avery belongs nowhere near a top 20 Duke player list, let alone top 13.

You also forgot Elton Brand (Wooden Award winner).

Sheldon Williams was a force at PF.

Mike Dunleavy Jr. deserves mention.

Duke has 2 Wooden Award winners on their bench. :lol
Spit balling off the top of the dome, my friend. You're right about Avery and I've certainly missed worthy mentions along the way. I'll revisit and update when I have extra free time.

Shelden's biggest accomplishment post-Duke was landing Candace. Williams was involved with Matty Kemp in the rape scandal many moons ago.

I'm going to throw in a few here:

LSU
Shaq
Chris Jackson
Pistol Pete
Bob Petite
Brandon Bass
Glen Davis

Alabama
Robert Horry
James Robinson
Antonio McDyess
Mo Williams
Roy Rogers

Arkansas
Joe Johnson
Sidney Moncrief
Corliss Williamson
Scotty Thurman
Alvin Robertson
Todd Day
Lee Mayberry
Off the top once again, I'd add Tyrus Thomas for LSU. Roy Rogers is on Kidd's Brooklyn coaching staff. Sonny Weems comes to mind for Arkansas. Don't know if I'm grasping for straws and reaching at this point.

Wake has a strong base of CP3 and Timmy.

Cincy, I'd want to add Bobbitt, Lance Stephenson, Jason Maxiell, Kenny Satterfield.

SJU isn't playing around with Bootsy, Hatten, Cook, Artest, Mullin, Jackson. So on and so forth.

Purely recent. Russy, Love, Collison, Jrue, Shipp, Mbah a Moute.

Tyus Edney
Kareem
Ed O'Bannon
Reggie
Bill Walton

Keep digging. I'm missing a lot of names.

Would look dusty as hell.

I'd like to see it, though.

Same with Kansas.
Wilt
Simien
Pierce
Hinrich
Boschee
Collison
Manning
Rush
Henry
Langford
Collins
Gooden
LaFrentz
Chalmers

Reaching with some like Rush and Henry.

Just randomly thinking...I would have loved to see TJ Ford and Kevin Durant on the same team. :x

TJ Ford was freakin' phenomenal at the college level. :hat
KD
Ford
James Thomas
Damion James
Royal Ivey
P.J. Tucker
Chris Mihm
D.J. Augustin
LMA

RHJ doesn't his best for a true frosh. I'm happy with his production and effort as an impromptu starter.

Marshall picking up all of Carson's slack.

Don't think he can pull it out this year but I think he will be in the Final Four again.

Florida/Cuse/Wichita/Kansas too strong
Depends on Dawson's return. Payne and Appling staying healthy. Trice and Valentine valuable contributors. Harris needs to attack, attack, attack. Don't settle for jumpers. You're not Bradley Beal.

Add Steve Logan (stud) and DerMarr Johnson if you're gonna include Lance.
#22. Forgot what DerMarr wore, #1?

Dude could fly.

Those Huggins lead Bearcat squads with Brand Jordan jerseys were too :hat .

Some of the greatest uniforms I've ever seen.
My favorite basketball shoes outside of J's were Cincy's Deuce Treys during Bobbitt's tenure. Aesthetically an eye sore, but I wasn't afraid to be different and rock one black, one white sneaker.

We're doing a good job with this concept. Keep the names and suggestions coming. I'm going to need all the help I can get. I'm missing a lot of worthy candidates through the cracks. At some point, hopefully by March, we can vote on a bracket style tournament for a decisive winner.

The historical names I should probably leave out. Those are guys I've read up on. Purely numbers and commentary from folks before my (our) time. It's probably better to stick to players we've all watched and enjoyed in the modern era of our lifetimes.

Jwill
JJ
Grant
Elton
Christian

Damn that's a mobb
With Shane, bobby, Corey, dunleavy, and Booz coming off the bench. We winning this tourney fellas.

Purely hypothetical, but you wouldn't start Hurley over Jason Williams?

LSU with Maravich and Shaq might have the biggest two guns though...
Great idea, AMP. Best duos in CBB history.

BTW, 22nd. Cuse/Duke. Bounce or Ainsworth. Open to all NYC/NJ NT'ers.
