The College Basketball Post

That kid does not look real...lol.

I'm just amazed watching that. Gets up so quick and easy.

Yeah, not a good look for JJ.

I'd expect he's suspended for a game, maybe two. But, who knows what Self will do.

Best thing to do would be suspend him for next year's season opener, IMO.

Self not suspending Jackson for a second.

"We are aware of the situation and handling it internally" type statement coming.

Not the best way to be in the headlines but, as of right now JJack is innocent until proven guilty. LPD believes he allegedly caused that damage.

As far as the incident goes it took place Dec 9th. I'm assuming Self knew about and has probably already handled it 'internally.'

A lot of stuff in the news lately about KU basketball players but the only thing 100% proven is that Bragg was found with drug paraphernalia.

Mo Watson charged with felony sexual assault and suspended from all creighton activities. First the injury and now this.

Is the middle Ball brother actually good? I didn't watch the whole video, but he wasn't doing anything...

I want to preface my comments and say that what Josh Jackson did was wrong. End of story. No argument.

However, the KC Star is using some *fantastic* (/sarcasm) journalism here.

They released an article yesterday referencing how the victim in the Jackson incident (McKenzie Calvert, a KU WBB player) has seen a decrease in minutes since the incident...essentially hinting that she is being punished, while being the victim.

My two thoughts after reading the article...

1. Seriously? They're not even going to jump into the details of, oh I dunno, how she was playing on the court?

2. Would love to see the details.

Now, I'm not a big KU WBB fan. I rarely pay attention. However, here is what I discovered...

Calvert shoots the ball. A lot. And doesn't make many shots. So, maybe the coach was frustrated with her shot selection and decided to put her on the bench more? Also, take a look at this graph of Calvert's minutes played by game this year...

The line is the night of the incident. So you notice two things.

1. Her minutes went down the game before the incident.

2. Her minutes went up immediately after the incident.

My point, the KC Star is clearly looking for clicks. I have NO issue with reporting the facts (as they did with Jackson) ...but this extra "reporting" is completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

Been watching some highlights of these Chino Hills games and the team just looks so insanely soft. Obviously they are still able to play with other top teams from around the country though. Watched the video of their game against Oak Hill where they played them close. But even Oak Hill doesn't resemble the older early-mid 2000s Oak Hill teams that I guess I was always used to. This led me to re-watch highlights of what is probably one of the best games ever played in the DMV area. Oak Hill vs Montrose Christian in 2006. Level of talent is crazy...

Yeah, Mater Dei was definitely a legit squad though. They just added Bol Bol in January too, they have a solid team. Their point guard has no fear

I still don't even know what to think of Chino Hills lol. On one hand the competition is definitely different in this age on the other they've played the best teams extremely close still

Ball Brothers chucking last night was inefficient af but at the same time that's the style that got them this far and they still should have won that game tbh.. at the very least the officials made some questionable calls

Lamelo doing that goofy **** when he had a chance to win the game is the definition of feeling himself.
