The College Basketball Post

I'm down for a bracket, but how will that work? Someone hold the money in a paypal account? Hopefully everyone who said Louisville's out in the firstround pick's it that way.
laugh.gif

And I was googling some Louisville pics and came across this one... I almost forgot about us playing OU in the tourney (and winning by 30) last year.

See... that means he's more Lebron's height than amare/bosh, which makes him a less talented more athletic version of Beasley

Or it makes him a more athletic, more physically imposing Carlos Boozer... He ain't anything like Beasley, I don't understand why peoplekeep making that comparison...

At worst he's 6'9", and I really don't see how that's a problem...

Allen, how come that kid doesn't have the Hoyas as a school of interest on either Rivals or Scout?

i honestly have never heard of a Latavious Williams, is he supposed to be the real deal?

That's probably 'cause he's been assumed to be off the market for a while to Baylor.

But, he's definitely a great talent. And his HS team is unfair.

They played Sir Lancelot on ESPN last year.

As since...forever...Georgetown just keeps things quiet. I try to follow things as much as I can, and it gets frustrating. on the flip side recruiting servicestry to make Terrell Vinson and Ryan Kelly's big Hoya targets -- when they never are/were and kids like this and others get no mention.....

It's strange.

Williams athleticism borders on the freaky side..but he's raw...I've read PE JR/Tyrus Thomas comparisons with more upside offensively if he works atit.

Obviously on this team, somebody like that would be a plus.

laugh.gif
you gotta be kidding me...

ACC tourney tickets went on sale today and they were cheaper beforehand on Stubhub, etc. from resellers. So much for me making that trip to the ATL

This website has some pretty cool stuff to mess around with:
http://bracketproject.50webs.com/
Check out the Bracket Matrix if you get a chance...it lists the seeds for each team (the ones still at least on the bubble) based on a ton of different bracketpredictions.

Using the final results from the 2006, 2007, and 2008 matrices, each site was graded based on a scoring system made by Paymon at PHSports. This rubric awards 3 points for each teamcorrectly picked, 2 points for each team correctly seeded, and 1 point for each team correctly seeded within one seed line. With 65 teams, a perfect score is390. The variance section of the data table below lists the absolute deviation between each score and the mean forthat particular year. Thus, a 10 point variance means that site's bracket scored 10 points higher than the average bracket that year.

The sites have been separated by the number of years each has appeared in the matrix. The average score in 2006 was 284.4. The average score in 2007 was285.9. The average score in 2008 was 309.1.

very cool tmay, thanks for sharing.

Big Monday isn't all that big tonight... first game is decent i guess, but i've gotta say Nova is a really boring team to watch, and ND isn't muchbetter. The second game? Meh... Texas can only hurt themselves there - could be fun to watch a meltdown i guess, but i don't anticipate that happening.
