The Combat Jack Show Thread

Blueprint is my favorite album ever but Stillmatic is close. They trippin.

Ayo, the brother is "stillmatic"
I crawled up out of that grave, wiping the dirt, cleaning my shirt
They thought I'll make another "illmatic"
But it's always forward I'm moving
Never backwards stupid here's another classic
See-notes is falling from the sky
By now the credits roll starring nas executive poet, produced, directed by
The kid slash escobar

Let my words guide you, get inside you
From crip to piru, this is survival

:pimp: :pimp:

Jay z has 4 undisputed classics. That alone tells you why his discography is better

Illmatic
It was written
Stillmatic
Life is good
Lost tapes

Gods son
Distant relatives
I am
HHID
Untitled
Streets Disciple

Nasir
Nastradamus

Those top 5 I'll put against Jay top 5 no problem.

Nas got five classics in my book

Jay got more commercial albums and singles

I prefer Nas disco

I give Jay four. RD, 1, 2 and Blueprint

I went back and revisited Volume 2 for it's 20 year anniversary and realized how much I liked and slept on that album over the past few years.

All is forgiven

They had me on my flight in tears this episode. I usually save Saturday joints for Monday’s, but the Saturday joints been funnier than the Wednesday ones.

“Put the crack inside the apple!”

They was trying to stall Joe out when he kept mentioning durex, not acknowledging him. Then he caught on, and was like wait...

I think Nas and Jay both have 2 classics that damn everybody would agree on. Illmatic and I Was Written for Nas. Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint for Jay. After that it just depends on who you prefer.

To me Jay has more good - great albums than Nas. American Gangster is a personal classic for me. Black Album, Vol 2, 444 are great. Vol 1 and 3 are real good.

With Nas, Stillmatic and Lost Tapes are personal classics. I am and Life Is Good are great but then it's a drop.
