The GOAT: "I would not have called Larry and Magic and say let’s play together"

Glad MJ spoke on this. Agree with him 100%. The league is nothing compared to the 80's/90's, and young fanboys cannot admit that.

Because he wasn't? Wasn't Kobe coddled just as much? Seriously. Father who was an NBA player, lived in Italy, hs super-duper star... wth? LeBron: no father, convict mother, poor upbringing constant switching schools... what are you looking at to make these easy life assumptions?
It doesn't mean anything and Kobe is a perfect example. He was really coddled his whole life yet he has this basketball legacy thing always in his head. That's just him. That's not LeBron. Doesn't LeBron is taking the easy way out. Heck, Miami was a ballsy move that has done more harm than good. Now he has to win multiple championships to even make up for the move. He only needed 1 in Cleveland to cement his legacy.

You're acting like he didn't deserve to ride in a H2 his senior year. Dude brought in so much money to Akron and his school... why are you guys hating on this dude? Yall making these serious life judgements off this move is beyond me. He didn't want THE legacy. Doesn't mean he wants an easy life, like his life in Cleveland wouldn't have been easy as hell. We are talking about basketball, remember that. A lot more went into this decision, even though I wish he had stayed.

So if you want to make it look like it was an impulse move and LeBron was like "Wow, hey look at this, Chris Bosh will sign with the Heat, then maybe I should join Wade and Bosh as well!", then YOU FAIL. If they haven't agreed on this mutually, Bosh wouldn't have joined Wade in Miami and Wade himself would've probably left the Heat as well. They all chose Miami probably because it's a much nicer place to live than Toronto and Cleveland - no offense to NTers from these two cities.

if they really planned it years in advance then they are all a bunch of !%##!#% trying to ruin the sanctity of the game. BUT lebron is the one who said that he woke up the day of the decision talked to his moms and made a choice.

so either lebron made his choice to go to MIA the day after Wade and Bosh already were planted there.

OR

this guy was involved in trying to take the easy way out years in advance. collusion. not giving the cavs his 100% because he knew he was out.telling them to make roster moves that were specifically for his style, even though he knew he was leaving no matter what to form like voltron.

lebron is that kid who used a game shark to get unlimited health and would go brag to his boys about how he just beat the most difficult videogame out. we are going to see players want to stack up on super teams. so there will be about 3 or 4 teams that have a chance and the rest will be garbage. even less parity in the NBA

I hated my friend cause he had a gameshark!! LMFAOOO

i feel like im in 2003 all over again with all this hate... people act like he hasnt done anything in the past 7 years. So he didnt win a championship, but he was still consistently one of the top 5 players every year so dont come with the bad work ethic BS.
Well of course he wants to win but he took the easiest path to it. This is something that has never been done before. A top 5 player joins another top 5
player's team, a proven champion (Wade). All I'm saying is that an ultimate competitor like MJ, Kobe, Bird and Magic wouldn't do that. Magic & MJ

said it themselves. Don't act like LeBron had some bum team in Cleveland, best record in the league for 2 years. If you think about it, if he would've stayed

in Cleveland they would've made moves to get better. Plus Jamieson would fit better with another year and Hickson is getting better. Miami would have

Wade and Bosh so they would be a championship caliber team. Chicago is better, Orlando is still good and Boston is right there. That's competition,

that's how great players are made. LeBron ain't built like that, he's a Yankee and Cowboy fan who grew up in Ohio! He's a front runner, bandwagon guy.

I don't hate on him for it but he can't call himself "the King" when you ride Wade's coat-tail..

Man I'm so sick of people using that played out, over done word "hater". It's a moron's word, it's like when people say "whatever". Being critical of someone

cause of that persons own actions is not "hating". If that was the case then every thread on this website is "hating". Every person who posts is a "hater". It's

like those people who say "you can't critique pro athletes cause you never played pro ball". If that was the case then no one could criticize the president

cause they never were president. Some of the most knowledgeable coaches in basketball were horrible basketball players. I guess you think MJ, Barkley,

Magic and Reggie Miller are all haters too, right?

You didn't answer any of points and focused on one word. When they did any of these HOFers say LeBron's has had it easy his entire life?

You really think this decision was the "easy way out" for LeBron personally? There are so many more people that hate LeBron James today than 2 weeks ago. He is going to get booed in various arenas just because of this. Open your eyes. You're making personal judgements that are incredibly wrong.

Dude the main reason why people are gonna boo him is because of his actions. His 1 hour special about himself, his disrespect toward his old team.
He acted like an arrogant jerk man. You don't see that? Really? Let me guess you think that's "swag", right?
laugh.gif
.. So what if LeBron had it "hard" for

his child years. Everybody has it "hard" at some point in their lives. It's the person you become after that makes you who you are and LeBron became

a narcissistic d-bag. I don't care enough about LeBron and the NBA for that matter to "hate" anybody.

But I can have my opinion just like everyone

else..

I think that HE thought that it was the easy way out. 110%

no way anyone from his idiotic "team" told him that he was killing his legacy, hurt his brand, would be hated in most major cities in America, and that MJ, Bird, Magic, Reggie Miller, Walt Frazier would all publically denounce him. The guy got booed trying to give a toast at Melo's wedding!
laugh.gif
he wasn't expecting this backlash and wasn't prepared for it

his friends didn;t want him in a huge market like NYC or CHI because they would all be marginilized (for good reason... they are bad at their jobs)  and his mother didn't want to be in the newspaper every other week for spreading her legs open to his business associates, teammates, and whoever else she could find

his mom and boys wanted to chill on the beach. He wanted the easiest path to a ring and to hang out with his friends. They wanted no part of the NY or CHI media either. That's it
