That's a helluva deal
I'm really shocked that he got $2.5 million less than Wood. I assumed, at worst, he would get the same deal, or maybe even more money.
We sure could use that extra $2.5 million right now.
Oh well. I'm not complaining.
The Nats would try Bradley in center field.
Yikes.

i also read that in shock on nationals.com. no-way, no-how does Bradley play center. Bradley can't cover CF. Elijah Dukes would replace Milledge in center. Dukes is a NATURAL in center, he has incredible instincts.Originally Posted by JordanXI2001

With the Cubs close to finalizing another trade -- right-hander Jason Marquis to the Colorado Rockies for right-handed reliever Luis Vizcaino -- the deals are seen as a precursor to the Cubs negotiating a free-agent deal with outfielder Milton Bradley.
The Washington Nationals are believed to have offered Bradley $30 million over three years, and the Tampa Bay Rays are also in the mix, sources tell ESPN.

Milton quietly had a monster season last yr...
sorry to disappoint you, but Chico is forgotten in the Nationals rotation. your cousin is going to be a career minor-leaguer.Originally Posted by JordanXI2001

he had tommy john surgery...he COULD bounce back great.
he was screwed over by the nats tho because he was sent to AAA and then needed surgery but the AAA docs are not great and the pro docs wouldnt give him medical attention...he then later got attention from pro doctors and they found the problem...he is recovering fast and should be ready for sping training
no need to be so salty with no source....
and Milton did quietly have a monster season last year, he was overshadowed by Hamilton.
By what definition did Milton Bradley quietly have a monster season?
The guy was an All-Star starter, and plenty of people talked about him being the best hitter in baseball last year when he was healthy...actually, they do. Lannan, Olsen, Balester, Zimmermann, Martis, Clippard and many others are all miles ahead of Chico in talent and on the starting pitching depth chart
Tyler Clippard and Scott Olsen being miles ahead of anybody in talent is hilarious... They both suck...

Let Wood walk, trade for Gregg.Trade DeRosa for kids?Sign Aaron Miles?Gonna trade Marquis a innings eating starter for a middle releiver?Mess around with Milton (&^%$#@ Bradley? And say NOOOOOOO to Peavy?
God damn stupid friggin front office trying to outsmart themselves and make moves with the best team they've had in 50 years.
Jesus Christ these people are stupid.
Win 97 games. Sign Dempster, sign Wood, make a damn deal for Peavy by trading away nothing, move Marquis for a peice if you want, and maybe try to add a lefty bat (Abreu, maybe Milt) whatever. Call it an offseason and go forward. It shouldn't be that hard.
Instead, we're rolling dice and hoping it all works out. Gotta be @*%@#%* kidding me.
Yes, I'm mad. $%^& off.

I hope he bounces back great I went to the game he pitched against the Cubs in 2007 and he threw a shutout, he has potential I think and it's not like the Nats have anyone else in the rotation.

You need to come to directv and you don't have to worry about it but you can't see the Phillies though.
