The NBA Draft Thread

Lot of scouts and analysts were down on Mccaw, he doesn't look that bad. Fluid, good in transition and should be able to develop his stroke. He looks good early so far right now

Ulis putting up numbers, didn't get to watch though

Simmons

 his passing breh

Just hand him PG now man. His teammates freeze him out

They definitely need to make sure they don't have a traditional point guard playing with Simmons. You don't want a McConnell type of point guard that's dribbling all over the place, trying to get his assists up and taking the ball out of Simmons hands for most of the shot clock. If Bayless and Sergio can just knock down open jumpers that'll be all they need at that spot.

Bayless is perfect. McConnell in summer league is relatively high usage....and I understand why. He trying to secure a spot.

A smart coach would have Ben creating off the move and mixing up where he touches the ball. Elbows...curls...pinch post etc.

Bayless fits good into that role because he can alleviate the stress off Simmons and also make an open 3. I expect Rodriguez to be the back up PG most of the time.

Who the **** cares about this Adam Silver press conference besides the reporters in that room?

Christian Wood has looked solid all throughout SL. Don't see how he doesn't make a roster somewhere...

Major props to Christian Wood, didn't even have to go to Lebanon to get his head on straigh like Hassan Whiteside.

Hate how he keeps going to that same cross over to the baseline and can't get pass his defender and gets trapped there forcing himself to pass right out under the basket. He does that at least 2-3 times a game. He needs to just pump fake or try to keep posting if he can't get by the defender on the baseline

He lacks scoring instincts, in the half court.

That's why the Blake comparisons are off, Blake was born with nose, instinct and feel for scoring.

People complain about Blake's lack of post moves and ignore the fact that he doesn't need them. Pass him the ball around the basket more often then not he finds a way to get into the paint and finish.

Agreed. Most of his shots have been at the Ft line as he posts the defender up and then shoots an off balance J. Or he will just drive to his left and shoot off balance with his right hand. He's young and will develop his half court game, but those are the things that are bothering me.

I can't lie..Ben offensive game have been very frustrating..I'm not going to overreact to much due to its only being summer league..but he has a lot of work to do.

So after watching Ben these few games and looking at the team structure, who would you rather have? Noel or Jah?

I think it's clear that Ben needs to not carry too much of the load early. You don't want him to turn into a Rondo type who's useless with the ball in his hands. Needs to get comfortable attacking in different ways like a Draymond Green.

Stil remember when whiteside's agent was offering him to play for like 25 grand a month over here and no one would bite cause he was like a walking time bomb

Problem is the defenders can guard him literally from be paint. He can't keep them honest if he can't make open shots

Even still he can sometimes still get to the rim but it's not a good look for him to drive into the paint on 3 defenders waiting for him
