The NBA Draft Thread

Great read.

The article says that his man defence is weak but my guess is that he just takes too much of a burden offensively since there is no NBA talent around him. Especially since his team defence seems to be solid.

I find that part of the recipe for success in the NBA is a late growth spurt. Anthony Davis, Porzingis, Fultz and many more learned how to dribble and shoot out of necessity then they grow a foot.

As a 15 year old, I knew I had potential and I read my scouting report, the only major con was "Short/ small", as a 5'3" PG I knew I was a few inches away from getting scouted by other teams and my current team really investing in me but I peaked at 5'4" lol

Also, I don't mind turning this into a 2017 draft thread. Not much to talk about with this year's rookies.

Yup, anybody who has questions about his man defense only needs to watch him at U18 World Championship when he had talent around him.

Was easily the best perimeter defender in the tournament.

IDK in those lowlights Ingram shoots like he used to be stronger than he currently is ... or maybe he needs contacts. His handles is nice though, he really is KD lite

Class is really bad, so many guys not even close to being the rotation even on bad teams. :x

Simmons being hurt sucks but the other top guys have looked so trash.

Murray is going to be a player though, he's got it.

I'm putting Joel in this class **** it, we could just talk about him. :lol

Besides adjusting to the extended three point line, Ingram will need to develop a floater or one dribble pull up when he's ran off the line.

Right now, he's going all the way to the basket to draw contact but he's too weak to finish (duh) and/or not getting calls.

I think January is a bit too soon. He might play 3 on 3 or 5 on 5 but the Sixers is the one team that will take their sweet time healing their players. I do hope that he lost some of that muscle weight he gained since getting drafted.

Nah I bet he'll be back playing by sometime in January before the All-Star break. That seems to be what I've gathered from everything I've read or heard. Plus one of the Sixers top social media guys tweeted Ben the other day saying "like this tweet if you'll be back before the All-Star break" and Ben liked it...so it's gotta be true :lol

That's true. Zaza didn't even budge when Ingram took it to him. Not even a little :lol

Having a pullup and a floater will do him good.

From that pump fake drive that he did on KD it looked like he has a one dribble pull up in his arsenal. IDK from those clips it looks like to me that he's trying to judge the distance while he shoots. Hopefully he keeps his aggression and has a great trainer

Saric is the goods :smokin

Once he gets to learn how to be consistent, he will be a great role player for the Sixers.

He uses it from time to time, but his touch is off. Seems to always hit the back of the rim.

I've never payed much attention to Pascal Siakam unit I went to the Raptors/ Hawks game last Saturday. The guy can play and is a great fit for the Raptors.

Has Thon Maker done anything this year?

Ingram and D'Lo make up the Slowtime Lakers

If Ingram gets up to 15 Ppg- probs rookie of the year.
