Mayweather labels Pacquiao a "one-dimensional" foe. So why doesn't Money May pick up a pen?

LAS VEGAS-If ignorance is bliss, then he must live in Nirvana.

He must be joking because nobody can be that blindly arrogant.

Either that or Floyd Mayweather Jr. just wanted to put on his black hat even before he is anywhere close to signing a contract to actually fight Pinoy Idol Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather, speaking to CNN, branded Pacman as one-dimensional.

I guess Money May is living in the fifth dimension because comparative results between the two weigh heavily in Manny's favor.

Mayweather outpointed Oscar de la Hoya in a dreary bout. Oscar finished on his feet.

Pacquiao beat Oscar from pillar to post and made the Golden Boy into an Olden Boy who quit on his stool.

Mayweather did more or less play with the moderately talented Ricky Hatton. But Pacman dissected the plucky Brit in less than six minutes of malevolence.

And how about Mayweather versus Cotto?

Oh, my bad. I forgot.

Cherrypicker Mayweather ducked the brawny Puerto Rican the same way he has continually ducked Sugar Shane Mosley. And it is worth noting that Cotto beat His Sugarship in an entertaining fight.

Let's not forget ****** Marquez, who did Pacquiao a rousing rumble not once but twice. But Malevolent Manny floored the Mexican counterpuncher four-count 'em, four-times.

And in September the comebacking Mayweather put on a boxing clinic in winning 12 out of 12 rounds against Juan Ma.

Yet and so, Marquez could've pulled a Jake LaMotta in the scene from the Robert DeNiro movie where he tells constant foe Sugar Ray Robinson, "You never hurt me, Ray! You never hurt me!

Or was it, "You never put me down, Ray?"

I am more than willing. In fact I am looking forward to listening to Mayweather's babbling brook verbiage about the flexible, versatile and dangerous Pacman.

Not now, though.

Sign the contract, Floyd, because Money May talks but bullspit walks.

And your bullspit won't mean a fig until you ink the deal.

Now that is what the White Gorilla calls keeping it real.

^ You can't compare what PBF did to Hatton to what Manny did to him, same with JMM.

Manny and PBF have completely different fighting styles. It's like comparing the Greatest Show on Turf to the 2000 Ravens.

If/when they fight, I damn near guarantee it'll go the distance...

They do have different fighting styles.

I just posted it because a lot of people have the logic how JMM 'beat Manny twice' therefore PBF shouldn't have a problem with Manny, since JMMcouldn't do anything against PBF.

Which is, flawed logic.

If these two squared off, I don't see how either side, can claim their guy would take care of the other dude easily.

It really is, gonna be a clash of the titans. Which really, could go either way.

Agreed.

But to address the whole "PBF is ducking Sugar Shane" issue for a second...Floyd is WAY too smart of a self-promoter/businessman to ever take thatfight. He would have, and still to this day, gain NOTHING from taking that fight. If he wins, he beats a 40-year old, "washed up" ex-roid user. If heloses...he loses to a 40-year old, "washed up", ex-roid user. Boxing, more than any other sport, is all about calculated business maneuvers andfighting Shane does nothing for him.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Floyd call Shane out WAY before Shane started running his mouth, and Shane wouldn't fight him? I'mtalking like 5 years ago, before Floyd was the top dog. Funny how things work that way...

you're the only person that actually is talking with some sense and doesn't have any homerism with one person. I'm still tryna figure out why wouldanyone compare them fighting JMM when Money had him when he was in the backside of his career and had him move up 2-3 weight classes and Manny had him in hisprime and at his natural weight

I just listened to this interview on my homies facebook, Floyd was maaaad

He changed the subject QUICK when those dudes brought up Paul Williams

I get irritated everytime this dude opens his mouth

this is the same %%%*%#%% he said to Brian Kenny. "If I beat him I won't get enough credit"

I knew I wasn't the only one that thinks Floyd's style of boxing is boring.

I agree with everything you posted about how this fight will go down except theoutcome. No way do I think Vegas judges will score this fairly. They know the amount of $$ this will involve and you know damn well Vegas/Atlantic City crimefamilies will be heavily involved in the outcome. Beyond a doubt it will be a split decision and there will be a rematch.

Floyd will back pedal for 12 rounds not because he's scared but because he plays defense for 12 rounds and also because he doesn't want his pretty faceto get pummeled. So yah a lot of clinching and dancing. PBF will probably do a juke move here and there and probably do the moonwalk too. Manny will want tobrawl and will just chase him and before you know it 12 rounds will be over with no decisive winner. Yawn. That's why Manny should just concentrate onfighting Mosley instead. His style matches Manny's and we'll actually see a boxing match instead of an episode of Dancing with the Stars with Floyd.

"If he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather all he has to do is step up to the plate,"

"Manny Pacquiao is the fighter, and every time someone asks him if he wants to fight me, he says it is up to his promoter, he's going to take a vacation, whatever the answer is,"

"I have yet to hear him actually say, 'Yes I want to fight Mayweather.' We are the fighters, and if one fighter is talking about fighting another fighter, then they should just come out and say it,"

"Manny Pacquiao doesn't say anything directly about fighting me, because he might just know it's not a fight he can win,"

"Tell Manny Pacquiao to be his own man and stop letting everyone, including his loudmouth trainer [Roach], talk for him."

"I am my own boss, speak for myself and tell it like it is,"

Imagine if this fight takes place... we'll have 6-9 months of Floyd's ego on full blast. Yippee!

Can't wait for this fight to happen for a couple of reasons. One, FM will finally have to fight. He won't have the luxury of just standing around inthat gay looking crouch all fight, and finally snapping out with the quick jab, cause Pacman is too quick to get hit wit that gay $%$*. Also, Pacman aintscared to take a punch, so he will get up in Mayweathers space and counter punch with him while being able to match hand speed. Also, Mayweather won't beable to run from Pacman cause Pacman is relentless in getting to his opponent. Dude stalks people around the ring with quick feet and hands and I don'tthink Mayweather has fought anybody that has the same hand quickness as him with a heart big enough to actually wanna beat Mayweather %%*. Lastly, he's notscared of Mayweather like most other fighters, so that psychological advantage for Mayweather will null and void. One more thing, both fighters will be upagainst somebody with skills that are on par with the other, but one has a bigger heart and actually fight, I believe that will determine the fight. My secondreason I can't wait for this fight, I'm gonna throw an Epic party for it

Well its going to be a lot of hurt feelings and downplaying the night this fight take place "if" the fight goes down.

Its going to be a lot of build up to the fight and hype but I got Money May wining the fight.

This man has excellent defense (I know a lot of people call it "running") and he is a excellent counter puncher. I just don't see many ofManny's punches landing on Floyd.

PBF will more then likely out point him based on punches thrown and punches landed, and that will probably secure the victory for PBF.

EDIT: Seems to me like a lot of people down playing Floyds fighting style/defense as "boring", that's boxing/ out boxing someone.

If you want to see people beat t he hell out of each other you are watching the wrong sport UFC comes on almost everday other day on SPIKE
laugh.gif

I think it's more about the "casual" boxing fan who doesn't like PBF's style. I'm a big Manny fan, and I can respect the way PBFfights because his defense is second to none. Add the speed to that and now you have a unstoppable combination. When people see Manny fight, they just see adude who will go all out to try and KO his opponent. It's obviously exciting, and that's what people wanna see. It's just two different stylesthat these guys have mastered... Hopefully we'll get to see who is the better fighter one day...

It's good to see a buzz in boxing. Even if it comes with the Pacman/PBF stans

@ the article naming Pac Fighter of the Decade...

It may be true. Like I said there's no denying his greatness, his resume definitely warrants the accolade. I may lose my boxing credibility for this butwho cares...

Years from now....if someone asked me for my opinion of the greatest fighter of this decade, without hesitation, I would tell them "Pretty Boy" FloydMayweather. Yes, I'm biased. I've watched his entire career and have seen a good bit of Pac's (2001 and out).

Pac has lost in this decade, "Pretty Boy" hasn't.

amazing how much people do not know boxing.

Mayweather will win this fight.... period
Pac is tight, but Floyd is way to tactical.... he knows how to dictate a fight, not let it dictate him....

you'll see

The fight hasn't been made yet, and may not ever happen. But this city's casinos are already taking bets on who will win if the Philippines' MannyPacquiao and American Floyd Mayweather Jr. ever get into the ring.

Pacquiao, coming off his dominating win over Miguel Cotto, opened as an 8-5 favorite at sports books operated by Station Casinos, and it didn't take longfor bettors to take a side.

Not only that, but it just goes to show how almost everyone of these people know absolutely nothing about boxing

that tends to happen when you duck the best competition available

don't know why people say his style is boring. it's called outboxing your opponent. nothing wrong with defensive boxing. it's not street brawling,it's boxing

If look at PBF's career, he did take some chances. Angel Manfredy (this was his first title defense), Chico, JLC, Zab, even DLH @ 154.

Ya'll need to give up on JMM. Pac will KO JMM @ 145....believe that.

I think its funny when people say others don't know anything about boxing. I know what I see, and what I've seen. I see Manny as a classic boxer. Onewho uses angles in the ring, one who can throw a solid punch from any angle, uses both hands equally, quickness and enough power, and the dude actually fights. He is lacking however in the area of defense, but his quickness and ability to take a punch kinda evens it out. It is not entertaining or even worthy to becalled boxing to watch Mayweather stay crouched the whole bout or run around the ring the whole bout. That's not boxing, that's a $@$%% that'sscared to box. I hope the fight happens, and I don't think there will be KO to win it cause Floyd won't box enough for there to be. I do think howeverthat Manny will beat him up all night
