He asked great questions..

he works at rare footage (i believe), a boutique in fort lauderdale @ the hard rock casino.
same ppl that own sole inc on the beach. the dudes that own the store r from up north, there parents own a few shops there, and have been in the game for a bit.
im guessing the kid could be their younger brother, or a friend of the family. dude is at all the sneaker events down here....

Kid is young enough to be my son ... but being him wouldn't be that bad -- kid has a little rep already and seems determined to become a force in the shoe-game.

Just so happens there was a private company hired for security, and one of the heads was Dwyane Wade's bodyguard when I was hanging with Dwyane @ Zo's Golf Classic.
He remembered me and was nice enough to grant me the courtesy of full access (only me, Petrie, stickie, and a store manager were in the store).
I was behind the camera guy for Stickie's interview. When it was over, I chopped it up with Petrie (should've milked it, but he answered most questions in the interview, and I don't like hounding people).

Tried on the black/red colorway today. Definitely run smaller than VII's, maybe a half size depending on your foot. I'd say these fit like foams, where the VII's fit more like pippen I's, or uptempos. I tried on a 10 (which is what I've been getting most of the time lately with air maxes, forces, etc...) and they were definitely too tight, but not painful. It's a comfortable shoe, and on the foot, they look great. I'll def. order a 10.5 soon of the black/reds but I HAVE to get my hands on both NYC's and the Orlando joints. Looking forward to seeing what else they come up with for colorways.

i think petrie did a great job with the 8. i'm excited to try them on. as far as the colorways, i'm not getting my hopes up like last year. nike dropped the ball BIGTIME with the 7. i'll just expect the same with the 8. i'll just save a lot of money like i did with the 7 since they held a lot back from us.

i'm digging the v2's and i'm warming up to the 1st make up of the 8's but 3 damn versions of a sig in a season?(w/c is only really 7-8 months long depending on how far the heat goes this year)that's the definition of OD.add the soldiers,ambassadors,low cut version of the 8's into the mix and we have a hot mess of a signature line.the lebron line sorely needs focus,how about giving us 4-5 real solid GRs,maybe 4-5 HOH drops,then a couple of cw's for the playoffs (and finals).
