Thanks, do you know or anyone else know if its a long process to get in the Army. With the Air Force my recruiter was only allowed two applicants a month practically to get a physical at MEPS. He said theres so many people trying to join that they've been limiting how many people can get a physical. Is the Army the same way or are they currently taking more people. Thanks again.

i put in my info and all that for the army and the recruiter never got back to me. a lady (the cyber recruiter) emailed me and had me fill out some questions. she asked a few days later (like a week+) if the recruiter responded, i said no and she apologized. she said to call him and if i had any questions ask him or email her again.

its a huge turnoff, considering that the turnaround time to get a response out of the Marine Corps was incredibly fast. i got a brochure the next day, talked to the OSO the next day, met the OSO a week later (due to my schedule. coulda been that same week), etc. etc.

i'm not chasing anybody. i'm not recruiting myself. come on.

%***%# couldn't even send a brochure or something. the recruiter and the cyber recruiter need to switch roles IMO.

not to get on the army, i'm sure its not the army but rather the recruiter. anyway, i'm good. the Marine Corps was already in my heart. i just wanted to know more about and actually hear from the army.

^ I wouldn't necessarily let that stop you from talking to the army, debs. I went through 3 recruiters before I found one that was attentive and reachable for Navy OCS. Recruiter duty can suck for some because many dont really feel like they are doing anything. It sucks but keep inquiring because it doesnt hurt to find info out especially different branches offer different things/ experiences.

where did you get this info? your recruiter? My number one choice is Supply but SWO is my second choice. Do you know about boards for any other jobs?

they released the board info last Monday (Oct. 2nd).

I was in the station finalizing my NASIS and saw my recruiter (I was working with the officer processor) and she told me that since she knew SWO was my second choice. I didn't ask about anything besides SWO and my top choice. Give your recruiter a call and see.

My recruiter never calls me. Almost every convo we've had has been initiated by me. I'm the one hounding him for info and updates. I feel like I'm recruiting myself

talked to my recruiter. Told me that they're tentatively having a Supply board in January. Don't really know what the likelihood of it is but I'm excited regardless

Still can't decide if i want to go enlisted in the Army. I still haven't talked to a recruiter but i don't want to wait the eight months to see if i can even get in the Air Force. Any input from people in the Army? I've heard quality of life is a lot higher in the Air Force compared to Army and in general just get treated better. Jobs in the army i'm looking at are: signals intelligence analyst (35n), information technology specialist (25b), microwave systems operator-maintainer (25p). Still looking at other potential jobs but those caught my eye. Any input would be appreciated.
