The Official NBA Season Thread

Honestly the Julius Randle era has been wildly successful and has exceeded expectations. Playoffs twice and won a series. Sure he has underperformed in the playoffs but he is better suited as a 3rd option

Steph and Kerr tried to run the heliocentric offense. He can’t sustain it the whole game.

Steph’s not Bron, Luka, or Harden. He can’t do that an entire game and play defense. He’s not that guy. No KD to come bail them out.

I love watching this downfall. This is like Christmas.
pure facts and this isn't getting discussed enough.

steph is nice, had a great game, but he ain't built like that. i too was puzzled by the lack of steph PNRs in the 2H but he really may not be HEEM. and it's funny watching him cop pleas "oh but he was tired, no one was helping him out" when guys like harden, bron, luka caught flak for it. make it make sense. easy to win when you got KD and always playing against injured teams huh. :smh:

He's been a big part of the success this season. Had a career year. Should make an All-NBA team.

But if this is who he's going to be in the playoffs, he has to be moved.

who's gonna take him on though? the hornets? pistons?

probably doesn't help he had two tough individual matchups in mobley/bam but yeah all his flaws are getting exposed

If he was just shooting poorly against All-NBA defenders, fine. It's been everything else though, especially in this series.

Closing out on shooters late or recklessly allowing a blow by, poor decision making, not getting over screens, not communicating rotations, not getting back in transition, etc. He was great this season & I thought he'd really redeem himself from the last playoffs. Can't even point to the ankle injury cause he looks healthy as hell with the ball in his hands.

Really disappointing.

This SAS nonsense has run its course. His acting skills need work. Ironic that he didn’t have that same energy when we all found out that Jerry Jones was fighting against integration in his younger years.
He is getting too comfortable with his character. The great ones can recreate themselves as they grow older. He is in a position where he has creative control and can choose what topics and who to debate. Nobody there to really check him.

The sad reality is that when we need him to take the debate to scums and racists we get let down every time because he always sides with them. He always let Will Cain off the hook.
