Most of the thread beefs in here are kind of weird - and I say that as someone who’s been involved in a few; but the one that’s developed in here these playoffs between HIM and @Vincent Van Goat seems particularly random and out-of-nowhere to me for some reason.

Starting to think Silver offered to pay for Grant Williams' dating coach, so Williams turned double agent and sold the players out.

It’s so weird. They got to do endorsements with Sportsbooks and invest in NBA teams through PE partners in exchange? That’s really the biggest stars in the league selling out the rest of the guys, which makes no sense given Grant and CJ are the leadership here.

Respect to the Knicks. They had a really fun and exciting season, especially Brunson. The Celtics beat them 4 out of 5 times, 3 of those wins by double digits, and the one they lost was at the end of the season when they had nothing to play for.

In none of those games did we have our actual current team healthy.

The Pacers collapsing in 3 games in the final 2 minutes was all I needed to see.

I really believe a healthy Knicks team is better defensively, on the boards, and would execute better down the stretch.

I have ask my lawyer friends that work with the unions in town and they don't understand it

My economist friends don't understand it either

I just think that Silver's pitch to the people that had any issues was the league is about to be making wayyyyyy more money, everyone gonna eat, so there is no reason to mess that up.

But IMO, the players should have taken it down to the wire to get something else from the owners, or soften the apron penalties. Something.
