Luther is an awesome show.
I just finished Friday Night Lights; great series - definitely up there with my favorite shows.

I didn't like any of the characters except for maybe 1 or 2. I wanted the redhead's son to catch a bullet for being a douche.

The Killing got a real bad reputation b/c of the S1 finale and what they didn't do. If you can get past that, the rest of the series is good. I'd even call it great, but I'm a Linden/Holder stan. The acting of the main characters is pretty damn good, cinematography is clutch, the atmosphere feels real and the storylines are intriguing (albeit a little drawn out in S2). Definitely worth the watch, IMO.
